Re: Speed Adjustments

Derrick Locke of Kentucky also needs adjusting. His speed is rated 89 and acceleration something around 92 or so. He has been clocked in the 40 under 4.3 and is an All-American track athlete. He runs the 100 in under 10.5 and is an outstanding long jumper. Watching him rip through SEC defenses for 3 years, I would have to give him a 95 speed and 96 acceleration...there's a reason why he's 1st team All-SEC

Remember this isn't my rating system it is Ea's I got it from the prospects 40 times in dynasty mode recruiting.
This is not correct

Take the top 50 NFL draft prospects for the 2011 draft and use their provided 40 times: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings

Compare those times against what EA gave those players on the bone stock, out of the box rosters against this "speed table" and it doesn't match up. I completely understand your thought process and the effort that you put in to get, what reasonably should have been an accurate "speed table", but it just doesn't work.

On the slow 40 time side of that table (The EA recruiting one), the number ratings are too low. Now, if you're going to take the time to apply whatever table you want to EVERY player, then it really doesn't matter. If you're trying to find ratings that you can use, to be able to blend in with Roman's or Community rosters, the table I came up with should do pretty well.

I can tell you this, though. Whatever table EA used to create initial rosters and to apply ratings for dynasty recruits are not the same.

Re: Speed Adjustments

LOL - You have no idea what I went through.

Started off taking your chart and looking up random different players from the stock rosters that I had 40 times for and found that it wasn't jiving.

I then took the top 50 draft prospects from that NFL site; it provides a good mix of 40 times and various positions. I then found those players on the stock rosters, Romans rosters and Community rosters and wrote down the SPD rating. I then took those same 50 players and applied your chart and my old one and through some comparisons, averages and half *** algorithm, we now have, what I think, is a decent speed chart.

I know this thread has been dead for quite some time but I was wondering if while you were working on this if you ever found out if there some kind of correlation between the cone drill and agility?
