I keep hearing that Bell is really fast, but his 40 times don't seem to equal up to the stories I've read about him online. From what I can gather he runs between 4.45(low) and 4.67(high) in the 40 which is fast, but not really fast like track guys (Demps from FLA runs a 4.18 on his "low end" and 4.38 on the high end). Not trying to knock on Bell since he hasn't played yet, just wondering where you guys would place him on the speed scale.

Well from what I have heard Abdullah is being told will get a look at KR. I am positive Turner will unless he is so effective in receiving game they don't wanna risk injury which is the same reason I can't believe Burkhead ever returns again.

As for 40 times although they do have some truth they are mostly from guys working out their Junior years at camps unless teams do them. And when that happens they are usually flawed. Guys like Demps and others who run track are more accurate as they are official times. Although I don't think Bell is anywhere near Demps. Then you also have to think about 40 times are usually in shells which isn't really accurate either when looking at football speed full pads.

The only reason I have sirles as a backup is because I went with a respected posters opinion from a husker message board as to who will start on the o line. Who knows how that will pan out.
thanks for the feedback!
That makes since. Although will Stafford progress very well as a db if at LB? Just something you might think of. Of course he only has one offseason anyway so?

They were talking about Stafford on a local radio station here in Omaha. It sounds like they are going to try him at weak side linebacker right away. This could be incorrect, but these guys usually dont say things unless it's from a reliable source.

Interesting! Definetely something to look at come fall camp. My only worry is that we had some trouble stopping running games last year. Not a lot but a little. Like Polk in our bowl game, or even the 1st meeting. He started out running all over us and they kind of went away from it. I would hope Compton and Fisher step up to give us more bulk in the run defense. But if Pelini likes him enough to put him in there, well "In Bo I Trust".

Mine also have Turner as #10 as well as Dijon and Corey Cooper and Andrew Green added. I am still debating changing Zimmerer into Marrow. There are about 3-5 changes I am debating right now. Marrow, replacing Bubba are the two most prominent.
Cool, I'll have to check it out. I will probably go with with Kellogg since I think he'll be third IRL. I think Marrow probably has a brighter future than Zimmerer.

I agree. Pelini sacraficed rushing yards, but he knew they could keep points off the bored with a stout pass defense. He'll have them boys ready.

Off topic, but a little tidbit on what I'm hearing in these parts. Heard Taylor is having a great summer physically and mentally. He's supposedly being very vocal which is good to hear. Brion is not pushing Taylor as much as people were hoping. Jamal Turner, Ameer Abdullah, and Braylon Heard are a few other names on offense that have generated some chatter in 7 on 7 and other drills.

Re: Nebraska Rosters

So I have seen a couple of roster templates with some things I was unaware of. Has anyone heard anything about Sirles moving to backup RT, Qvale to backup LT and Cotton starting at RG? I have searched google and have seen nothing on this, or on any of the many husker sites I frequent. But I don't get local Lincoln radio where I am at nor have I heard anything on Sports nightly. Just curious what you are all hearing. I know Sirles has worked at RT previously but I was under the impression him at LT and Caputo at C were the only locks on the OL. I realize we probably won't know till mid-fall camp but just wondering what the buzz on the eastern part of the state is?
