SLIDERS TO GO WITH THESE ROSTERS SO FAR
I've been working them hard the past few days...
All American
8 or 9 minutes
Slow
50 TH
Reasoning behind my sliders: Trenches win the game, period. Also go check out the GMS Roster Edit thread.
Good O-Lines will give 4-5 seconds, bad ones 3-4 seconds, blitzes 2-3 seconds. Obviously counters for this are; extra blockers and quick passes.
Also since we re-rated all speeds and accels, threshold at 50.
I believe the sliders are used for 'global' editing, therefore if you lower a slider it lowers everyone the same (on AA), recreating the 'editing' of everyone. Now granted we don't fully know what they do, but by assuming that NCAA and Madden share the same 'engine/sliders' you can then take that NCAA sliders are a simpler version of Maddens.
So with that, I look to not go above 50 if possible as it starts to 'inflate' players ratings, negating the difference between good and bad players. How? Well the game can only rate players so high (99). Without knowing how much the slider changes ratings and with every slider seemingly having a different 'adjustment rate', my thought is to keep the sliders as close to the ratings (50) as possible without going too far in any direction (which would create a bottoming/topping out of ratings).
We know that the rosters are 'over inflated' across the board in almost all attributes, so therefore sliders would need to go down in order to lower all players in the needed areas.
QBA 40/65 (Lowers HUM a tad, you still get excellent 5-15 yard passes, deep balls with a low ACC QB will result in overthrows, unless you manually use the LS to aim the pass. CPU is boosted to get rid of the 'floating' pass. At 65, it does not create Robo QB with all QBs, Denard went 9/19 against me last time I played. Now Luck may go off on you, but that is realistic.)
PBK 50/55 (Let the ratings play out for the HUM and give the CPU an ever so slight boost due to the dumb CPU screen calls)
WRC 50/50 (Again, let the ratings play out, 2-5 drops a game, is what I see)
RBA 50/55 (HUM default, CPU boosted ever so slightly to give them a POP with moves and BCV, remember RBA effects all players when they get the ball... once a WR catches the ball RBA will kick in to affect them as well)
RBK 35/65 (HUM lowered to harden the running game, you need to use extra blockers, weak side attacks and generally switch up play calling. The CPU does adjust, boosted the CPU run blocking, obvious)
PCV 45/45 (Lowered HUM and CPU as DBs are overrated in MCV and ZCV)
PR 35/40 (HUM lowered as controlling DL is way too easy, the CPU HUM will still create pressure if you control a LB or Safety. CPU PR lowered as well, just too many sacks overall.)
INT 40/40 (HUM and CPU lowered, DBs play defense because they usually cannot catch that well. With this slightly lowered, you still see INTs if you make a dumb pass, trust me, this also helps get rid of the warp over... though it still happens a bit. This is a slider that needs 1 point adjustments.)
RDF 35/55 (HUM lowered to give CPU better running lanes. CPU gets a slight boost.)
TKL 35/35 (NCAA is full of arm tackles and poor angles. With HUM and CPU lowered by 15 it gives a fair amount of Break Tackles without being over board. Also this helps in lowering Play Recognition, Pursuit, Tackle and Hit Power... all things that are over rated on the rosters.)

Coach Progression: (NOTE: THIS WAS TAKEN BEFORE THE END OF SEASON WAS OVER, COACHES WILL CHANGE ACCORDINGLY BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT SEASON)
Coaches ratings (At beginning of season) here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=0&output=html
B:
TCU (100% Job Sec)
C:
Ole Miss (100% Job Sec)
Boise (78% Job Sec)
D+:
Okla (62%)
Bama (61%)
South Carolina (58%)
PSU (57%)
Fresno (94%)
All other team coaches rated D
Teams at very bottom of Job Security (
again, all rated D):
UAB, E Mich, BG (0%)
ULL, Akron (20%)
UTEP (21%)
Memphis (24%)
Utah St (36%)
NMSU, Ark St, FAU (40%)
Rice (43%)
USC (48%)
the rest of the teams make up 50%+ Job Security... the overall look of the CC was very nice with the coaches prestiges the way there were. The crap teams mentioned above all looked for new coaches, USC stuck with Kiffin. Most teams either re-signed their coach or did nothing.
At beginning of season two, coaches look like this: TCU B+, Ole Miss C+, Boise C, (Okla, Fresno, Michigan, Mizz D+), Ds (Oregon, Mich St, W Mich, Louisville, Bama, NW, ND, UCLA, VT, Az St, BC, Baylor, Iowa (in order from top to bottom))
Player progression: Looked after training results and can only see my team. What I noticed from having Steve Spurrier the ratings went up 3-5 points (OVR) on average, few 1-2s, only one +6 (punter). Don't think it was all that 'bad'.
So with that, you'd be looking at a 13-20 point overall increase over a players 4 years. Now as long as top freshman come in at around 70-78 than it looks good for the them, and as long as it the freshman ratings trickle down to the lower 'tier' players than I don't see a "major" problem with the progression.
