Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

[QUOTE=mar4380;2044441601]Khaliib, are you going to complete that config file? I am editing my own but I don't think i want to try adding Tabs though it would be ideal to have all the equipment and appearance stuff on separate tabs.. it would make it much quicker..

I did a separate tab for PLYR Accessories becaue it's alot of fields and just would be easier having it that way.

do you have a plan to fix/complete yours?
I went through and Face Mask was mispelled, that's why it didn't recognize.
Note, for some reason regular ROS files are having issues, but DYN files seem to have no problem, which is what my version is geared towards

also as I am curious how much editing can I do to the config file in notepad??
whatever pulls up from source, it's just a matter of what impact the edit will have (freeze etc...)

I moved The Years or whatever it was titled and renamed it Press.. But I was curious can you just move stuff around <Field>First Name</Field> at that level or do you have to find the next string lower and move that to the accompanying order?
no particular order as long as "Field" tab matches the "Field" info string exactly. That's were most of the errors occur.

I ordered them for the Press Rating but I am not sure if I had to do that.. I am trying to shorten everything up some and would like to have "like" things grouped together for ease of editing.. I however, do not want to loose a bunch of things. I saw in your config file it was missing some things. I think you mentioned it was incomplete..
correct, i wasn't going to do an Accessories Tab, but wanting to change All OL to have knee braces changed that

The issues is that every edit/inclusion must be checked to see if Editor will accept and testing to make sure edit will show in game.
I will post my update in a bit.

Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

Here is the latest update.
***Do NOT go into the in-game editor and edit a player after editing in the editor, it will reset that player back to EA's parameters ratings wise. Even if it's an accessory.

Confirmed Created Teams causes an issue with data being pulled in the editor.

Only thing left to include is the All-American/Impact Player Tag.
Will try and get in within the next day or two, got Papers to write as college winds down these last 3 weeks.

Lastly, the Game behaves differently when using these Editors compared to the in-game edits.

So folks must keep in mind that there is a difference in Gameplay behavior between the impact of internal and external editing that is done.

-mar4380 sorry, can't quote from this phone.
For stiff arm attribute, look for "PSAR". I don't know if it is in the 12config, as I created one for '13. Hope that helps.

Most are pretty recognizable.

To perform a global edit to Awareness you would click on "Mass", select "Play" from the dropdown, then select "Add". Change the field to PAWR, change the action to +/-, then input the value.

Another one I just discovered was PTEN. This is Tendancy, values are O, 1, 2. This really helps if you want to target that specific style of player.
I have a question about the "action +/-" selection. How do I differentiate between adding and subtracting a global value (eg adding 10 points to Awareness versus subtracting 10 points from Awareness)?

To subtract you type in a "-" before the number, to add just type in the number you wish to increase.

What do you mean by resetting back to EA's parameters? Do u mean their default rating out of the box? if so I just tested that and it did not happen.. However, I was not using your config file.. I was using the one that I made...

What I realized is that the Overall rating does not automatically adjust itself if you edit other attributes inside the Generic Editor.. You must edit the Overall yourself. but then if you edit something on the player then the attribute calculator kicks in and gives you the new overall rating... which is perhaps what you mean?

and could you go in more detail about the difference in game-play experience between in-game and out of game edits?

In all honesty I will go on gaming binges some times.. but mostly I spend alot of time editing rosters.. just like following the teams that way and making them as real as possible.
