Not sure if anyone saw this but Florida granted running back Adam lane his release from the team today. I saw that on the the team's rivals site. Won't let me post the link because I'm a newbie.

My recommendation would be to replace Lane with RS freshman RE #97 Justus Reed (6'3 234lbs) from Clearwater, Florida. His 247composite score was 0.8476.

If not Reed, you could go with senior RB #37 Mark Herndon (5'9 198lbs) from Ocala, Florida. Herndon is a former walk-on, but earned a scholarship last season and has actually gotten some carries in spot duty in the past. He's obviously not a stud, but he is fast (90-91 speed?) and certainly isn't just some scrub that was gifted a spot on the roster.

If you add Herndon it gives the roster better depth at RB with four total players, but Reed is more likely to contribute down the road as he's still a very young player. I'll leave it up to the editors to decide, and if any other Gator fans on here have an opinion feel free to jump in.
