AJDawgFan, not too much difference in mine versus yours. In hopes of this working for dynasty play with my dynasty file, I elected to exclude some special teams guys who didn't make a lot of stats or play positional football much in place of younger guys who are players in a year or two. Like Aaron Nettles, guy is sort of a Rudy story for Washington, but he didn't get to play until his senior year of college and only special teams. I went with Jermaine Smith who starts at CB in 96. Same with Mel Miller instead of Alex Lacson. Also guys like Lester Towns were on mine as they were freshman but big contributors in the near future.

I already mentioned Corey Villain Dillon in other post but he will be on the recruits list out of JUCO in the Dynasty file. One guy for 96 I am trying to figure out that relates to Washington is Nigel Burton and the rest of the Pacific team that transfer after they end football. I am thinking of adding them to the recruits for that year since it was similar to the free for all that happened at UAB this season.

I was 15. Crazy that was 20 years ago. Where does the time go? Every Saturday during football season, all of my friends would come over to the house to watch the Alabama football game. We spent most of the day playing football in the front yard. There were times we'd play well into the night. We'd turn on my mom and dad's headlights.

Having these rosters will be like getting a new release of the game this year. Hats off on this project. Can't wait to play with these. It'll be like Bill Walsh with killer graphics.

Did you change any of the coach info like playbooks? With rosters like these, I wish the Playbook editor was better integrated into the game. Especially a share feature. I would love to share some of the classic playbooks I've conjured up. Especially the 'ol Ball Coaches Fun 'n' Gun.

A long time coming, having kids, moving up in the business world, and going back to school have delayed this over the years. I am really hoping this dynasty file works out. It gives old-school rosters an added dimension, and I have been tinkering with recruits points to push them to their schools and playing around with transfer data to get guys who transfer in 96 to do so at the end of the 95 season.

In regards to playbooks/coaches, I have updated all that I could find data on. Playbooks as best as I could, records, W/L conf championships, etc. Images if I could find them but some of those coordinators are like ghosts in the world wild web, as they got out of coaching just as the internet came on. There are a few off coord/def coord I couldn't find and am thinking I am just going to add some of the coaches who weren't employed as coord/hc there, such as Urban Meyer who was a wr coach at CSU or Mike Leach who was at Valdosta St but goes to Kentucky in 97 as OC.

Would love to hear your playbook ideas. The best one is my Tom Osborne playbook I got off a website a long time ago (I think you pointed me there). I have lost that website. There are a lot of limitations on playbook options on the game, fun n gun is a must so let me know. Spurriers SC offense is not what Wuerffel and crew were running. Really wish 5-2 defense was an option, as many teams were still running this in 95.

If you are a Cane or Alabama fan (sorry Tommycoa) you remember probation. It was the year we closed the doors to the Southwest Conference, Pacific football, and also got the first Bowl Alliance matchup as well as the new overtime rules. (I remember Corso and Craig James in the pregame talking about the Fiesta Bowl overtime chances and advantages).

Maybe you remember some of the games. Like Virginia giving FSU its first ACC loss, the aforementioned Notre Dame – Northwestern game, or the huge comeback on Tennessee that Danny Wuerffel and the Gators managed.

You may recall the Lawrence Phillips saga, Eddie George’s Heisman Trophy, or that SI Magazine featuring Keyshawn Johnson.

Here is your chance to rewrite history.

I am shooting for a rough draft release on 9/5. FYI - I have been working on this for about 2 years, I have just not started a thread until I was getting close to release. I still have some rating tweaks that may continue for a couple months following, but all teams will be named and most of the ratings close to final.

I am simultaneously building a dynasty file that will have the 1996 recruiting class as good as I can get it, as well as rankings, schedules, storylines, conference alignment, etc. included. I am hoping the dynasty file will be ready mid-season.

Here are the as close as I can get it conference for 1995, I will update later so you can see the progress of teams.

Conferences

ACC – Florida St, Clemson, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, Maryland, Ga Tech, NC State,

American (Big East) – Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Miami, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple,

GisherJohn24 a rough draft will be available first week of September. It won't be finished as I am tweaking ratings etc but want to get it out there in a couple weeks. I will give out my gamer tag on the first post once it is released.

I was 14, and my Saturday's were similar. Play football in the yard and then come in to watch my Huskers. In hindsight it was a great and terrible time to start loving and viewing my team. Really it was 93 on, and I was spoiled as a Husker fan but living in the post-90's and expecting that excellence has been rough. Especially in the Callahan era. Nice article on 95 Huskers on ESPN yesterday.
