Re: Footballforever's New Idea for ALL sliders..........

It's actually a 25% advantage on Heisman level for the CPU. ON AA level it's even but since we all know that most of us are better then the CPU if it's even we should give them the 25% advantage instead on AA level.

That is how I figured my sliders. I've been studying this for the past 3 years but it could nver really be done because the slider scale for the older games didn't allow much flexibility on the 1-20 scale. Once EA released these new percentage sliders I new at that point I had a winner. That was the reason for my very first set that I broke to everyone. It took me 2-3 days to test and make sure that theory was correct and it could be done in 06.

So do you think these will play well and ratings will still matter?

Color me crazy, but............from my experience, the key ingredient for the CPU's defense against the run is AWARENESS.

If you watch a replay over and over, and look to see how and when each player on defense reacts to a run play, you adjust accordingly (as you run and watch replays over and over again) until you see all 11 players reacting as they should be.

IMO, the main problem with amassing tons of yards running the ball on the cpu is this slider, if adjusted incorrectly, you will notice cpu players (playing with themselves ) instead of reacting to the ball.

well that's why I only got 59 yards on 20 carries my first game....lol. I have the AWR set to 75 while my run abilty is set to 50 and I still couldn't run.

Have you visited my slider thread?

That's how I created them and that's why the better players make plays. It allows more parity in the game because I set it up to reflect only the players ratings.

WOW I'm playing the second game in my Miami Dynasty and I'm having a lot of fun using these sliders, anyway I will post my second game stats when I'm done, again my passing stinks but I will not give up at all, I believe it's beacuse Wright is just a SO and has no Starting expierence. The Miami D is just ruling in this game, im playing Clemson...

The issue isn't the run being at 50 it's the blocking being 50. I am just not covinced yet that we can find a set of AA sliders that will prevent a CPU defense that is rated B- or below from giving up 250+ yards a game, even to a C+ offense like mine. All I know is this: On AA with CPU break block and tackling both at 90 or 99 and human run block at 5% and running at 40%, that the HB for Akron is 3rd in the nation in yards gained after running over #22 Northern Ill (B defense); Central Michigan (C- defense; he gained damn near 300 yards), and a B- rated defense in Buffalo. My HB is I think an 87 overall and an impact player (not sure why, Biggs is decent but not a star). The Akron Oline is average at best, though, but you wouldn't know it by watching the games. It's like watching the '83 Redskins. Even at 5% blocking the 1-back HB dive creates great holes more often than not. I know if I play a top rated team that the holes won't be there as often but I do not want to be able to take Akron and run roughshod over every team in the MAC.

I have CPU AWR at 80%, and I guess my only alternative is to boost that up to 99% and pray it doesn't make passing impossible. It's either that or go back to Heisman. I cannot recall ever being this frustrated by NCAA, even '05. This one is so close to being great but I have not had a fun, moderately realistic game my last 5 outings.
