Same here.

I'm getting MUCH better games on Varsity than Heisman and AA this year. Everything feels better on Varsity without being easy.

My sliders are close to yours. Biggest difference is that I have both the USER and CPU Run Blocking sliders set to 45, because otherwise kickoff returns = instant TDs.

The CPU's running game (with RB Ability at 60) is still plenty potent, though. I played Miami (again with FSU) and the CPU chewed up 150 yards on the ground in the first half.

I played Maryland on the road with FSU yesterday and scraped out a 31-20 win (7-minute quarters). Stats across the board were almost PERFECT. I completed 60% of my passes, and the CPU completed 62%.

My pass rush is much more potent in Varsity (without being overpowering -- I had 15 hurries and 2 sacks in that win over Maryland) and the CPU still puts plenty of heat on me.

For me, I was getting pressure pretty easily, obviously more so when I blitzed. It just seemed Tebow had no idea what he was doing. I admit, it probably was the fact that I had no trouble scoring each time so they ended up just airing it out in the 2nd (they had around 80 yards after the 1st qtr).

They were also getting pressure, which was nice to see. There main pressure was the outside ends, which I just stepped up in the pocket and fired. I was sacked twice or three times because they sent an extra blitzer up the middle forcing me to just take the sack in stead of throwing a pick.

I may have to give these another go. Like I said it my first post, the 1st qtr was excellent, we were both on pace for around mid to high 300 yds total offense.

Oh cool nice to hear your experience with the Varsity level. What you expressed in your post is exactly what I have experienced. Im being challenged nicely with the teams that are highly ranked. I'm getting a tough battle going , and the penalties are involved also.

I also really mix up my play calling. I dont like calling the same play on any exsisting drive.

I also feel that the major factor in giving the CPU a solid running game is simply the RUn blocking slider. Like we both mentioned making that slider to high and the CPU gets off on kick returns, but like a poster mentioned before. Just super sim the kickoffs.

I also got ran all over by FSU. He was a beast on my defense lol. I also had a great time defending Gerogia tech's running game. They can freak the option.

The reason I like varisty, is simply because I feel the game plays much more to the players ratings, and not having the CPU play on steroids. For some they might be able to still kick butt, but for me I like for things to make sense on the play.

When I was winning on Heisman, I felt forced to play a certain way in order to win games. On varisty it feels more natural.

Also once momentum kicks in , no matter what sliders or level you are playing on your team will dominate. We cant forget about that .

Try a few games and see how it plays out.

Yeah, you're completely right there. That matters a ton, and when I couldn't be stopped it was pretty much over for them. Before their gameplan changed, it was actually a tie game for most of the 1st qtr.

I'll give it a few more games and post my impressions.

Exactly.

The CPU's ground game is a total shocker on Varsity. Clemson pounded my 4-2-5 with C.J. Spiller ...
