SteelerSpartan Custom NCAA 11 Sliders

Just played my first game with your sliders. I've had trouble for years with this game and trying to get the right sliders to make this game fun and as realistic as possible, I think these were the sliders I was missing I believe.

I was Utah State in the first game of my dynasty @ Oklahoma. The game started out rough for me with a fumble returned for 6, I couldn't get anything going on the ground with my HB (13 car. 9 yds), but I did have some success which I liked with a long of 13 yds. and 17 yards after contact. I did most my damage with my QB Borel (19/37 196 yds 1 TD 0 INT plus 7 att 43 yds). I thought it was as realistic as possible as far as my offense was concerned, I was pressured a lot. but had time to make throws, my WR dropped a couple, and the defense wasn't stifling (which is such a relieve) the whole game.

As far as defense was concerned, my D was only on the field for 9:31 w/ 8 min quarters. I mean clearly talent doesn't match, so Murray and Jones were able to damage, Landry Jones went (9/11 214 yds 3 TD 0 INT) and Demarco Murray (11 att 78 yds 2 TD 14 yd long).

So to wrap it up, I was more than impressed and I owe you a ton of thanks. I will reply back after I play a few more games against less talented teams to see how it plays out.

Well I haven't posted some stats in while, but Im still getting a variety of good games with these sliders

Playing with DKs latest rosters

In this game, My Defense was the epitome of "Bend but Don't Break"....though I didn't think so at first when Luck scorched my Cover 2 for an early TD in the 1st....I answered early in the 2nd though with a long TD pass to Nichols, when I caught them on a blitz

Put together a nice hurry up Offense to get a FG right before the half to go up 10-7

In the 2nd Half Stanford moved the ball on me pretty well between the 20s but I forced them time and time again to attempt the long FGs which they missed

Baker took a long one to the house to stretch my lead to 10, and I tacked on another FG after they muffed a punt return.....

Still Luck played good enough to give me a scare late....but my Defense held and stopped them both times they got inside my 20 and attempted 4th Down Conversions

My question is - does this result in unrealistic gameplay? i.e. obscene amount of pancakes, too many sacks, etc. ?

no...

sometimes the CPU qbs float their throws out of bounds.....but it doesn't happen enough to throw you out of the flow of the game

and Id much rather deal with that then Robo Qbs who throw strikes off their back foot with ease

I had to add a little to the user pass coverage and dropped the wr catching ability for the cpu, seems like better passing stats for the computer. I will post my sliders, i used yours as a base, played like 15 games and came up with some really good ones adjusted to my gameplay. Gotta go get my 420 on first!

yeah its tough to find slider sets thats perfect for your own style without tweaking some.....

but I think these are a good base setting that will take the cheapness away from the Heisman Setting but still lets the CPU play at a level beyond All-American.........


Im going to try and test CPU WRC at 60.....hopefully Robo Qb doesn't take over or something

Game Impressions:

Fun game....Got a little too pass happy in the 1st half....should have been using Devine's speed....which is exactly what I did in the 2nd half and it paid off.........as I gashed them with a 48 yard TD run

My running bowled them over as Clarke and Alston got in on the act, and helped take my Team rushing to nearly 300 yards....

Even though the Arizona Qb had a good game, It didn't feel like it was "robo".Foles is rated an 88 which is pretty good.....but I will have to play more games before I can determine anything...Ive had some good qbs go off on me at 55 catching as well..that s.o.b Landry Jones for one
