Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

After messing with it I can see why you guys would say 0 is tougher.

GMS, you hit it on the head. I noticed that when PCV is at 100, the defenders play to their zone/assignment instead of just flying around to the ball.

I found the deep ball easier with PCV at 0 rather than 100

However my testing was limited, so the deep ball may be a toss up. All I know is that when you put INTs high you make it scary to throw it deep.

At 100 I still have seen a few burnt corners.

*I eliminated Cover 2 zone and all out blitzes via custom playbooks when I play the CPU. I think this is probably why my experience has been solid while playing the CPU.

Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

So basically we should play with them at 50 so we get the best of both?

Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

I'm on AA using 100 PCV + 70 INT

Works for me!

My two QBs after 9 games:

#1- 109/177 -- 1,254 yds -- 8 TD -- 7 INT -- 61.6%
#2- 80/143 -- 1,144 yds -- 5 TD -- 9 INT -- 55.9%

13:16 TD:INT ratio which is pretty terrible

I've made way too many questionable passes. Have any of my picks been cheap? Absolutely not. I can 100% chalk it up to me making bad decisions and not seeing defenders.

With that said I've gotten much better and my best game was 22-29 with 2 TD & 0 INT against Kentucky

Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

Here is some data from playtesting20 plays with 2 deep 1 medium and 1 short route against a fixed generic nonblitzing coverage against Pass coverage 0 and 100:

Observations in general: I did not see on replay any difference in the tightness of zones. I purposefully ran cover 2 against a play designed to beat it and the CPU did everytime with no change in the loseness of the defensive zones or any improved play on the ball. I think people are seeing differences based on the play they called vs the defense they called. When the same playset is run everytime there is no discernable difference except better sticking with the man when he passes through a zone at a setting of Pass coverage at 100.

For cover 3 zone:
Pass coverage 100:
Short pass attempts: 53%
Medium + Deep attempts: 47%
Catches: 53%
Drops: 5%
Defl: 21%
Int: 21%
Bad pass: 0%

Pass coverage 0:
Short pass attempts: 71%
Med + Deep attempts: 29%
Catches: 66.7%
Drop: 4.8%
Defl: 23%
Int: 4%
Bad pass: 0%

Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

For cover 2 zone:
Pass coverage 100
Short: 15%
Deep + Medium: 85%
Outcome pointless given I purposefully called a bad combination but no diffence in coverage between either for the deep pass

Pass coverage 0:
Short: 39%
Deep + Medium: 61%
Outcome: Same idea

Re: Are All Sliders Reversed?

Oraeon - are you testing in practice mode? Try testing in game and come back with your thoughts. Sorry, practice mode and in-game mode are completely different.
