Drunk as hell, but gonna test a game in a new pro style offense dynasty.

I'm horrible at the pro style, but I'm doing it anyway. Will post when I'm done.

IF I wasn't drunk, I probably would have won by a ton more. However. I eeked one out drunk as hell.

I liked it. It was an interesting game even though I had the physical advantage.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

**new twist to gameplay... at least for me... used matt's newest set. took average slider number between user and cpu and decided to play as both teams.

**used matt's newest penalty set and have team aggression at 50-50.

**took ched's idea about changing defensive play to aggressive for stripping the ball, so as to force some fumbles.
**played coach mode for both tex a+m and missouri. set both defenses to play aggressive regarding stripping of ball. in coach mode i am on the sidelines with a tv view.

**for defense i took (without looking) middle play suggestion and then called the offensive play based on down and yardage.

**highlights i observed---
+mizzou wr's fumbled 2x on big hits.
+3 big hits resulting in pass incompletions.
+fumble on mizzou kickoff.
+fumble on mizzou run.
+saw offensive pass interference call.
+saw a pass deflection by tamu end.
+saw at least 3 great read options by manziel.
+manziel was driving the aggies to a clinching td late in the game and fumbled it back to mizzou in the red zone.

PLAYED IN AA- AA USER MODE.

Here are the real life stats for the game.

a+m 70 plays- 379/ 5.4 ave
mizz 74- 463/ 6.3

a+m 5.3 ave. running the ball
mizz 5.1

a+m 69% passing/ 5.6 ypc
mizzou 63%/ 7.9

REPLAY STATS--
A+M- 38
MIZZOU- 35

A+M 79 PLAYS- 466 YDS/ 5.9
MIZZ 73- 420/ 5.8

A+M 45 RUNS- 246 YDS/ 5.5
MIZZ 32- 133/ 4.2

A+M 22-34/ 220 YDS/ 64%/ 2 SACKS/ 4 DROPS/ 10 YPC
MIZZ 28-41/ 287/ 68%/ 5 SACKS/ 2 DROPS/ 10 YPC

A+M 38% 3RD DOWN
MIZZ 38%

A+M 2 TURNOVERS
MIZZ 3 TURNOVERS

My thoughts-- Playing this way, I felt as if the playing field was leveled. I've read where playing at AA-AA level, ratings truly matter. I was very involved in the game and it was great fun being the play caller for both offenses. Playing against the CPU, and trying to get a realistic simulation in terms of accurate stats-- especially that darn passing game has been challenging, no doubt. This game, although a small sample, was about as good a game as I've played on NCAA.
Looking at the above numbers... I'm fairly certain that the 11.01 set is quite compatible with my way of playing!

Hmm...that is an intriguing set-up. What kind of OPI/DPI would you suggest with that?

I'll absolutely second that. PCV is what triggers more DB responses to look back to the ball and bat it away. Sometimes though, at really high settings, the DBs will lose sight of the receiver as they are looking back too much. That happens IRL too, but it is something to watch.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

We tried the 100 PCV and Zero WR catch. CPU didn't deflect or try to deflect any passes. They also had very loose coverage.

It's always been my theory, and we tested late last night, that the lower the PCV - the "tighter" the coverage and the OPI/DPI is what results in the deflection animation - but must be paired up with the correct KR/PR and INT settings.

Fun Stuff - I'll be loading Twitch shortly

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

I want to thank everyone for continuing to improve this game. I frequent this site errrrday! I watch this thread more than I watch ESPN.

Let me start off by saying EVERYONE plays this game differently. I only ask that you try my method ONCE to see what I am experiencing and please let me know if I should just stick to Matt10 Versions.

I am not sure how to start off, but here goes.

How I play on Offense.

I set the tempo to Conservative because this does not give me a lot of time to make any adjustments. LOVE IT. You cannot make a bunch of audibles. Only time you can is if you run a Hurry Up.

If I choose a Pass play I LOCK on to the QB. This does not allow me to control any receivers after the catch. I enjoy this a lot.

If I choose a run play I lock onto the RB.

On 4th down I simulate the play and Watch it.

How I play Defense.
In the Visual Settings turn Player Lock OFF!

Once I pick my play and make my adjustments I lock on to one of the defenders. This I think help the CPU offense against me because I cannot control everyone. Makes recruting good players important.

On 4th down I simulate and WATCH the play even if the CPU team is going for it.

On Special Teams (FG, Punt, and Kickoff) I simulate and Watch the plays. Doing this I have seen a team run a kickoff back on me.

3rd Quater

I always simulate the entire quarter NO MATTER WHAT! If I am down in the 4th Quarter it makes it very interesting.

Now to the sliders. I have been using Matt10's sliders, but something never felt right. I used every method he suggested and found a lot of things I liked.

With these sliders you MUST play a few different teams. So User team rated 90 and Cpu Rated 70. Then User team rate 90 and CPu team rated 90. Then User team rated 70 and CPU team rated 90. By doing this you will see a huge difference in gameplay. I cannot run against a team that is equal to me as far as 90s.

Slider Set:

Gameplay Options:
Offensive Skill: Heisman
Defensive Skill: All-American
User vs User Skill: All-American
Injuries: ON
Fatigue: ON
Quarter Length: 9 Minutes
Play Clock: On
Game Speed: Normal (Any other game speed and when you throw it to the receiver they do not CONTINUE the run.)
Threshold: 0
Home Field: OFF
Ice Kicker: OFF

Game Penalties: THANKS TO MATT10 for finding the Madden sliders. I think this works and wish you would have stuck with it!
Offsides: 25
False Start: 50
Holding: 49
Facemask: 2
OPI: 75
DPI: 80
KR/PR: 15
CLipping: 15 (I have gotten clipping calls)
IG: 75 (I think this is the one I changed from 40)
Roughing the PAsser: 53 (changes this from 50)
Roughing the Kicker: 5

PBlock: 70
WR Catch: 95 (I drop plenty of passes)
Rb Ability: 50
RBlock: 70
Pass Coverage: 75
INTs: 30 (There will be INTs)
RushD: 25
Tackling: 75 (Plenty of Broken tackles)
FG Power: 35 (I watch these plays)
FG Accuracy: 40
Punt Power: 50 (I watch these plays)
Punt Accuracy: 90
Kickoff Power: 45 (I watch these plays)

CPU:
QB Accuracy: 55
PBlock: 70
WR Catch: 95
Rb Ability: 85
RBlock: 70
Pass Coverage: 75
INTs: 20 (There will be INTs)
RushD: 25
Tackling: 75 (Plenty of Broken tackles)
FG Power: 35 (I watch these plays)
FG Accuracy: 40
Punt Power: 50 (I watch these plays)
Punt Accuracy: 90
Kickoff Power: 45 (I watch these plays)

COACH SETTINGS: THANK YOU FOR FINDING THIS! Works perfectly for how I play.

FOR ALL COACHES:
Aggressive/Conservative 50/50
Sub Frequency: 85

Defensive Style: Use this for ALL COACHES on the CPU team.
Defend Run/Defend Pass: 50/50 (or as close as you can get)
Aggressive/Conservative: 50/50 (or as close as you can get)
Sub Frequency: 85

Just try this out and the way I play and let me know what you think. Game feels right.

I still input Matt10 sliders to see how they play, but mostly use these right meow until I see a change I like. Then I stick with that change.

Enjoy!
