Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

So I'm using all of the settings from version 7, with the exception of 8 min quarters instead of 9. And here are the settings that I have for both sides while running a CPU vs CPU game:

QBA - 55
PBLK - 40
WRC - 35
RBA - 60
RBLK - 50
PCV - 75
INT - 20
RDEF - 20
TAK - 15

As I said before, hypothetically at least, these should mimic the User being on defense full time, but statistically, they should give you the same results as if it were a User vs CPU game. But here is the box score from the game I just ran:

It's only one game, but the running game didn't exactly blow me away in terms of being where I'd expect, but I think it's an improvement.

I think it's a combination of quite a few sliders that are causing this. Like I mentioned before in the thread, I think User TAK is too high at 30. That and the RBA just doesn't look realistic at 35-45. I currently have it at 60, with RBLK at 50 and I'm seeing some improvement in the CPU running game. I also have User TAK at 15 and RDEF at 20. I'm still not getting the explosiveness from the good RBs, but at least the numbers are starting to look a little better. And the passing game doesn't look like it's being affected at all either. I'll post a box score and the settings I'm using for this Clemson/Georgia game I'm running.

Keep in mind again, that I'm using the CPU offense settings and the User defense settings for a CPU vs CPU game to test these.
Thanks for input, zocrates - yes, I just tried RBA @ 75 (always extreme first) with user TAK @ 20. CPU is definitely accelerating better and awareness is strong. From what I could tell there were no outrageous broken tackles either.

Something to try.

For everyone, here is the absolute update that I am testing. I think the Run/Pass ratio needs more testing - I'm not 100% convinced one what it does, so I'm leaving it out of testing for now.

the boost the defenders get is the pursuit rating. I tested this on KO's in practice mode and when defenders have higher pursuit rating than their speed you will see them run faster to the ball carrier than their speed rating. Most defensive players have much higher pursuit rating than their speed especially DL players. That's what I love so much about the T-Dawg rosters that have pursuit at 0 for all players.

That is not a good fix for dynasty though.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

2 things of note I am convinced coaching sliders are backwards of what they really are for the run pass ratio. I put Georgia's the exact same as Ga Tech and they are throwing all over the place. I wouldnt think it would be in the aggression but not certain I will try that next. Secondly even with rba ability at 100 for the cpu the only way I see explosion from a guy that is supposed to have it is with a higher threshold which unfortunately changes everything.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

I played a game using the version 8 sliders, but with the coaches still set at 50/50. Overall I like how the game played, saw a few different animations and it was a challenging game. In the end, aTm was undone by their freshman QB who threw 3 ints and their receivers who had drops on crucial downs. Hard to gauge how well the CPU could run it because they never really committed to it, which is pretty realistic for who I was playing.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

So here is what I trying to work on the run game for the cpu. User tackle at 30 user rush defense at 0 cpu run blk at 45 cpu rb ability 100. I was s. Carolina vs Georgia. I punted every possession possible to see if I could get a consistent run game. Georgia won obviously but only 13 - 0 Rushing 56-130. I watched every replay to see what was wrong. Part of it is what charter said, part of it is lineman very rarely make it to the second level to block, part of it is if they do get to the second level its because the completely whiffed or there first block was shredded so fast they still had time to continue on but gurley was stopped in the backfield every time this happened. I ran no blitzes. The wrs rarely attempt to block and if they do is shredded quickly so the back just tries to hit the edge. I have a feeling its either in the penalties threshold or both. S. Carolina has a good defense but not to the point of stopping Georgia's run game while being on the field the entire game. The most yards that were gained came with rb ability on 0 but it completely nerfs acc and speed.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

Just played another game using version 8, with the 75-25 coaching adjustment. I took Stanford into Autzen and destroyed Oregon 42-6. For the most part I just held the ball and pounded them. The time of possession was 27:02-8:58. Drops were a big part of why they struggled, even dropping a TD pass in the final minute.

Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

Try what I've posted on the OP guys, it's updated. Only change I need to make is TAK to 20 for the User (forgot to modify that in the image).
