Re: Wait..what no Dreads :(

Online Dynasty came in on Kiniry and Haumiller's watch, so for me, that's skins on the wall.... Madden still hasn't got the online model right and NCAA will be going on 3 years on Online goodness.

You have to remember, they work under time/budget/management restraints... they don't get everything they want... so neither do we. But i support their efforts and hope they continue to expand on some of the good things they have done with the game the last two years.

if anyone really thinks the team could choose to ignore all minor stuff and just focus 100% on gameplay, well then you have no idea at all how a game is developed. people who work on gameplay are not the same ones at all who work on issues like dredlocks, mascots, the band's music it plays, etc.

so by saying that stupid, tired argument of "fix the gameplay before fixing this small stuff" you are basically saying "put the art department guy, the pr guy, the audio guy in with the programmers to help "fix" gameplay. yeah i'm sure that'd work out really well *rolls eyes*

I'm guessing this is directed towards my comment. You must of used your imagination for a sec or two because you've came up with something that should be worked on more than something like dreadlocks. Bands. Wouldn't bands (damn near the heart of college football in a way) should be a top priority for that team over dreads? Bands are alot more important than a hairstyle IMO.

See my point. People state dreads give them an immersion in the game. Really? Authentic bands and their unique formations would be something that would get someone excited.

If a hairstyle is all people complain aka ask EA for then we may be in for a letdown with NCAA11. To reach for the stars you have to do more than stand up. In other words maybe our focus should be getting the "bigger" little things/immersion factors fixed before going over the edge to get dreads in the game.

I agree it seems/sounds like an easy fix but to sit on an internet forum and constantly degrade the NCAA's team effort is dispicable (not directed towards you). As a consumer we have the right to ask for a better product. But EA could simply say screw what we think and continue to do their own thing. OS and all of us sports communities make up a small fraction of EA's actual profits. I'm just kind of grateful they even want our input on things, growing up, however the game came out is what I had. No patches, no devs, not anything. Their are just more "important" things to consider while we have their ear before something most (not OS) would feel minute (my-noot)

*Last part is not directed to anyone in particular but I just skimmed thru this long thread to see how a conversation about dreads grown to be so long and had to post some short opinions on the current topic.

PS- Posting *roll eyes* doesn't give your post any emotion, lol jk. And you just spelled dreadlocks wrong, lol

I don't really blame them, I bet the majority of the people that buys the game probably would never notice. if I never came to OS, I probably would have never known that the players had no hair.

based on what? do you know what exactly they worked on? or what they were told to or was allowed to do? just seems like you need someone to blame for all the bad things in the game.

happy?, I guess, I had my fun with NCAA 10. I suppose I got my moneys worth out of it. I'm still playing in an Online Dynasty as well as my offline dynasty(though not as much lately). I wouldn't say it's the greatest game ever or anything. I still prefer NCAA '03, '04 and '06 over NCAA 10 as a whole.
So essentially it comes down to you liked the game and I did not. It doesn't bother me that others like the game. A lot of people didn't feel like they got their money's worth. I have higher expectations for the series. Maybe the new guy will cut loose the other devs next year and get a new team. If I'm the boss, heads are rollin bowah.

Season Showdown was added because they thought it would garner new interest in their game. I'm not hating because they added a new game mode, it actually helps in random online games because some individuals actually showed school pride and played with their favorite team. I'm not mad at them for trying. EA is a business, and sometimes businesses try new things to gain more sells.

100 MPH games- College football is fast. Gamespeed is everyone's personal opinion. So this "point" is kind of dull to me, lol.

But the game was too fast. To the point where you couldn't see blocks opening up, you had no time to react. Yes, cfb is kind of fast, but the game seemed to be too fast.
Play Madden 10 on slow. Then play NCAA 10. Nuff said.

agreed, i think options like Madden had this year is the key... give the people options and let them decide what speed is perfect.

Yeah if NCAA has game speed options this year, I'll be very happy.
