Yes it IS, my friend. Even though it sucks--and how hard could it have been for EA to include a "stay clear" command on punt return?--at least it's easy to avoid. Fair catch. Even at your own 1. Or risk having your lobotomized special team players cause a stupid turnover, and a possible TD.

or you can switch players quickly, and hold the joystick away from the ball

This is something that should be put on the wishlist as its existed for the last couple years I believe. Both the kick catch interference and the blockers running to the ball.

Try it if there's more than one or two blockers around the ball. As soon as you switch to a new player, the one you just switched off of hauls a** back toward the drop point...

Does anyone know if they have FINALLY fixed the muffed punt advancement glitch? You should not be able to recover a punt that is muffed by a returner and advance it for more yards. Its supposed to be a deadball once its recovered by a defender.

I know I'm getting old but what is a "striker"? Is that a new term they use in football now because that was a term only used in soccer.

In high school, college, and now in the NFL, we always have referred to them as "Gunners."

Its the guys that line up on the ends in a WR-type position to run down the field to cover a punt.

Yeah, bad football etiquette. (American football, that is.) I think the term he intends to use is "gunner."
