Re: Top 5 player list

One thing to keep in mind when making this list is that its not about how good they did last year. It's predciting how good they will be for the upcoming year.

QB
1 Andrew Luck -
2. Pryor - Big name school and big name recruits always get high ratings
3. Kellen Moore - someone on BSU has to be rated really high
4. Denard Robinson - big name school with big production
5. Landy Jones - suppose to be the #1 school

Honorable Mention
Matt Barkey, Robert Griffin, The Ok st QB, Aaron Murray

And I whimsically predict that Arron Murray will guide UGA to an SEC East Title.

Yes, I know. Chances are dicey at best.

Re: Top 5 player list

I for one think there is a huge difference in who will be the highest rated QB's to who are the best. I am sorry but Colt Brennan, Case Keenum, Bryant Moniz, all Texas Tech QB's receive a way higher rating then deserved, as do most players. They are based on their results not their skills. They all incorporate a quick pass which requires some accuracy, but you can take a guy with no awareness or THP and plug him in and he will get tons of stats. And in the case with Brennan, Keenum, etc they play more than half their games against sub par defenses, which makes it even worse.

The argument about Brennan's schedule up above, was flawed. Some of those big names were not good then or at the level they have been lately, and to say no one wanted to play them the next year, is wrong. Schedules are made 3-7 years in advance, and though one team dropped them from their schedule, doesn't mean you can use the excuse no one wanted to play them.

I see you were smart enough to have Crick, L. David and Dennard all listed. I guess the rest of the list is fine.

Yah those were easy. Crick and David both Pre Season All Americans, and I think Dennard was better than Amukamara last year who was 1st team AA. Would love to put Martinez on the others list, but gotta see something first.

No love for T-not so magic here. Would actually like to see someone else at QB this year as I do not see Martinez's QB skills ever improving that much. Fast as hell? yes. But that does not equal good QB.

There's no such thing as too many running backs though.
