Haha I'm not sure I started mine up around Saturday afternoon and it took me some time to get the first write up done. Chose Mercer over the Charlotte 49ers and the North Florida Ospreys, a team I found on one of the TB threads. I'm really enjoying using them although I have the slightest clue how to put logos and pictures in my posts to make them look awesome like you guys do.

JeremySC's Mercer Bears dynasty season 1:

Game 2:
In week three I faced off against FCS Southeast who is actually rated higher than me (63 overall to my 60). Regardless, the expectation going in was to execute the offense and convincingly win. That happened with a 41-24 victory.

The offense was a polar opposite of the previous week against Alabama managing to put together 475 total yards Starting QB John Russ went 12-16 for 136 yards and 4 TD's. Also had the only turnover, a fumble on a pitch early in the first half. Backup Eli Grambling was 8-12 for 99 yards and 1 TD. D'Vante Penamon was the top receiver with 8 receptions for 91 yards and 2 TDs.

The star of the game is the guy who I believe the offense with revolve around the next 3 seasons and that is sophomore RB Jabari Scruggs. He ran through the defense all evening for 162 yards on just 17 carries giving him 237 with a 7.1 yards per carry average over the first two games.

The defense is a frustrating work in progress. Again had trouble on 3rd down and gave up a few long passes. Stopping the run was a challenge in the redzone but that was partially due to playcalling. Have to be patient with this group as they don't fit my system very well but I'm confident that after a few recruiting classes the defense will perform well on a regular basis.

Next up my 1-1 Bears go on the road to take on 1-2 Old Dominion Monarchs. Expectations are to stay competitive and avoid turnovers in hopes of possibly escaping with a win.

Wyoming Dynasty Year 8

After a devastating loss to rival Texas last week, their first loss in nearly 3 years, the now #6 ranked Cowboys were down 10-0 early to #5 Oklahoma. But while their overall win streak may have ended, their 7 year home win streak was not about to suffer the same fate. Wyoming managed 31 unanswered points on way to a 38-17 victory. The biggest play of the game was when Oklahoma was in the redzone down 14 early in the 4th quarter. Sophomore #20 Kyle Frederick, the 6'3 4th string CB, picked off a pass and ran it 101 yards for a touchdown to put Oklahoma away.

After giving up 2 early scoring drives, Wyoming's defense really stepped it up and was dominant for the last 3 quarters. DT #94 Leon Patterson had 3 sacks and MLB #52 Tim Gibson had 2. Wyoming combined for an astounding 12 sacks on the day.

QB #19 Jamaal Williams threw for 245 yards and 3 TDs but also threw 3 INTs. Williams is a talented player but he throws way too many interceptions. Wyoming has been dominant all these years but has yet to have an elite QB under center since legendary Chris Ramsour lead the team to their first BCS National Championship.

HB #25 Rodney Hopkins had his first game under 100 yards rushing on the season, as he finished with 92 yards including a beautiful 42 yard untouched touchdown run in garbage time after a failed Oklahoma onsides kick. He also lost a fumble. WR #11 John Hairston had his best game of his career, catching 6 passes for 120 yards and 1 TD. WR #10 Leon Robbins caught 5 passes for 66 yards and 2 TDs. Senior WR #85 Joel Williamson was Oklahoma's only difference maker, as he managed 97 receiving yards and 1 TD.

After the victory over #5 Oklahoma, #6 (3-1)Wyoming has moved up to #3 and is right back in the national championship mix. (3-1) Oklahoma fell to #9 after their first loss. #1 Georgia Tech is (4-0) and #2 Virginia Tech is (3-0). Hopefully Wyoming can make their way into the top 2 and win a 4th straight national championship!

Next week #3 Wyoming will be facing the surprising (4-1) Colorado State Rams in the Border War rivalry game.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I just got fired from my HC position with the Akron Zips. Dirty rats fired me just as I was about to get a young Lawrence Taylor on the roster. I've taken over the HC position for the Memphis Tigers, but it pisses me off a bit because they're rated too high for my liking. Its cool though, I get to see some different squads and edit some more players which is always fun.

I'll also be keeping tabs on Akron to see how LT is doing.

Re: How is your dynasty going

So my dynasty just took a complete 180. Tulane's head coach Curtis Johnson was hired by Wake Forest to be their head coach after our great season. I'm thinking great I'll probably get hired as HC. Nope! They hired Louisville's OC! I was furious and couldn't believe it. So the coaching carousel continues and I end up getting offered the OC position at Nebraska who just lost in the Nat'l Championship to Alabama. I feel like I'm pulling a Nick Saban bailing on Tulane so early but not getting offered the HC job kind of hurt so it's off to Lincoln and the Big Ten!!!

JeremySC's Mercer Bears Dynasty season 1:

Game 3:
After a nice showing at home Bobby Lamb and the Bears traveled to Old Dominion in search of a second straight win. That was accomplished in 24-21 victory behind 448 yards of offense, moving Mercer to 2-1 on the season.

The offense wasn't the only bright spot for coach Lamb. The defense gave up just 29 rushing yards and 245 yards of total offense which was far better than the previous weeks. More importantly, the defense was constantly around the football, minus a few late mental errors that allowed Old Dominion back in the ball game.

After jumping out to a 21-0 lead in the first half, QB John Russ was forced out mid third quarter due to back spasms. Up until then he had almost 200 yards of total offense and was running the read option to perfection. After his injury, the offense seemed to lose a step and the Monarchs fought their way back to eventually make it to within a field goal with less than a minute to go.

RB Jabari Scruggs managed to get some key first downs on the final drive to run the clock out and finished with 21 carries for 126 yards and a TD. The sophomore back has been very productive for the offense early one in this inaugural season for the Bears.

Overall it was an encouraging win that is followed by a bye where recruiting and getting healthy will be the focal point. After the bye week, the Mercer Bears go back home to take on FCS East who will not be taken lightly. Stay tuned.

Oh, they're pretty bad. Think they're rated a 76 if I'm not mistaken and thats wayyyy too high. I like my teams in the low to mid 60 range. I tried to get another team in the MAC (UMASS was looking real good) but no one came up and I got tired of waiting, so I just clicked on the next team that was the lowest out of the pack.
