Brendan's Conference Realignment Guide

A few questions...
1. Does this work with a 2018 schedule file imported or does the realignment mess things up?
2. Can these changes to conferences be made in the dynasty editor once you've created your save or do they have to be done in-game with the controller?
3. Can this be done at all with a season save?

1. It depends on which file you're importing, as I believe "is a conference game" is a check.
2. Never change conferences in the editor. Ever.
3. It's impossible to realign season saves.

I was only aware of the one schedule file that everyone uses that's posted here but I'm not sure I get what you were saying.

I'm trying to do this with the Vikesfan roster and it feels like everything goes fine while realigning, but the game is constantly crashing while the season starts up after preseason. Is this realignment something you can only do with TeamBuilder teams downloaded and in place? The Vikesfan roster doesn't have new teams, maybe that's the problem? Does anyone know?

Realignment has nothing to do with the crash (unless you left every conference with 11 teams or fewer). Something else you're doing is at fault.

I used Vikesfan's roster and it failed flat out. With and without the 2018 schedule imported. I'm going to try the DarkJr4 one.


Also a question about the info for NCAA14:
"Do NOT enter the realignment screen if you did not add TeamBuilder teams and do not intend to move Old Dominion to C-USA! This will force the schedule to be regenerated."

Does that mean, don't realign if you have a roster without TeamBuilder teams? So if you're on stock or a roster downloaded from here, you can't realign? Not understanding that.
