Re: Slider Discussion.

I wanted to gather some data to start working on sliders, so I ran a game just for that purpose.

Slider settings (both CPU and Human)
QB Acc: 0
Pass Block: 0
WR Catch: 0
RB Ability: 0
Run Block: 0

Awareness: 75
Knockdowns: 100
Int: 50
Break Block: 50
Tackling: 50

What I was trying to do was get a more defensive game, look at the stats after the game, and adjust the sliders from there. I did 100 offensive plays in the Super Sim screen and used coach’s suggestion (and chose the first one in the group of four) for each playcall.

The teams are Philadelphia vs. Washington, two teams fairly evenly matched with relatively even skills off vs. def. Final score was Phil 31, Wash 17.

Stats:
Passing:
McNabb 22-30-1 (1 TD, 235 yards)
Campbell 11-21-2 (0 TD, 150 yards)

Team Rushing:
Phil: 21-68
Wash: 28-70

Assorted:
9 missed tackles (both teams combined)
3 broken tackles (both teams combined)
0 drops (both teams combined)
4 pass deflections (both teams combined)
28 pancakes (100 plays, both teams combined)
Run block: 185-266 (successful blocks out of total, BTC)
Pass block: 187-235 (successful blocks out of total, BTC)
5 tackles for loss (BTC)
0 sacks (BTC)
21 hurries (BTC)
1 lost fumble (sorry, didn't note total fumbles)

Hopefully this data will help those of you working on your own sliders. I’m going to do another game tomorrow after changing RB ability and RB block to 25. This is only one game, but if we all post our numbers and our slider settings, I think we’ll find a consensus on what adjustments need to be made.

Re: Slider Discussion.

Guys, Josh said to when the sliders are on default, the players play to their rating. If you increase the sliders the players play at a higher ratings, and vice versa.

So, if you have a 70 QB and move the QB slider up, you are making him play like an 75 or 80.

I wanted you to be aware of it.

Re: Slider Discussion.

NoleFan, those look really good. I was trying to up the defense because I read some posts about people having wild shootouts, but those numbers look very reasonable.

Nice game Nole...just curious..how many minute quarters are you playing in your games? I'm using 5...tried using 10 but the scores were too high. What do you use?

Re: Slider Discussion.

My biggest issue is every time I play the bears (twice so far) they beat me by 3 points because my kicker can't make a field gaol (using old rosters) and Chicago has returned 2 kicks in both games for TD's. Granted Hester is good, but 4 TD's on KO Returns in 2 games. If we had a way to kick away or squib.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?
