I have Brian Brohm as my QB, using Field General QB as my Team Philosophy he has a potential of 93, his learning is 87 which is pretty good only downside for him is his durability at 85. I'm on year 2 with him and his learning is now at 91!

Keith Rivers is who I like to build around just because I like fast OLB's, and I used to be one.

I'm usually starting out with the Cowboys so my two 1st round picks are in the 20's. Kenny Phillips is always the no brainer. He can play either FS or SS and POT is always 90+.

The other first I play with - sometimes a pick (Donnie Avery) or a trade down to get Calais Campbell in the early 2nd.

Frank Okam has typically been a great pick for me. Usually a 5th rounder. Tony Bake can be an UFA but I draft him to keep him under contract for a couple of years.

I like to stockpile picks for the next years draft. I've found that trading up is usually very expensive in the first round. I've tried to get a Rivers a few times but they always want both of my first and typically a 1st or 2nd from the next years draft. Is he worth that high of a price? I'm sure I'm paying dearly since my GM is JJones.

I was wondering what do you think of Jake Long? Is he a stalwart at LT for a decade?

to be honest, I think you are asking the wrong question on Jake Long...

the question is not whether he is good, the questionis whether he is good where you can get him...which is usually in the first 3 picks...hence you have to pay him a lot of money and hence he is not worth it IMO

Is he very, very good? Yes, he is. But...you can equally good guys in the next few drafts aftwr the first one that are every it as good at the 9-10 apot...much less money and much better value...

This is my first time seriously playing this game and I'm playing with the San Francisco 49ers. Right now it's looking like Patrick Willis would be a "no-brainer" MLB to build your defense around. He's just an absolute animal and is always around the ball.
