2K10 isn't a terrible game. I can see there's a decent to good game someone in there, it's just that the default skating feels so terrible.
Look up Original6's sliders(V.6) at 2KHockey.net

It actually feels like the player has to dig in before skating. The animations themselves though do need help, which happened somewhat for the 360 patch. Commentary is background noise to me. Yeah it adds immersiveness and EA's is better, but even it gets old quick. I'll take 2K's more realistic sim engine and trade logic over EA's lottery logic any day. That's what really kills NHL11 for me.
I still fail to see why folks cheer 2k's sim engine and trade logic. It's really not that much better than EA's. Its an area both series really need some attention in.

I would gladly take game play over presentation. I could care less how cool the presentation is. I stop paying attention to that after the first couple of games anyway. It would be fantastic to see another quality game come out and give EA some real competition. NHL 11 is great, but has a lot of issues. I don't have much faith at all in the 2K series, but after taking a year off I have some high hopes.

As a true hockey fan and videogame hockey fan, this is what I think 2K must have to compete:

Presentation in national absketball association 2k11 class, this is one big step in the immersion of a hockey game. And included in that is terrific GFX, realistic and great.

A new angle, and that I think would be true physics of the players and puck. I wouldnīt mind if they teamed up with naturalmotion to get up to speed with that to really rock.

Get the controls down, donīt reinvent the wheel. Skillstick is kind of the new standard. Borrow and refine, thatīs all.

And keep the details as usual: Areana bord colors and such etc....

Music to my ears... this would be incredible.

More possible hope, though I'm not really sure as the translation is a bit wierd.

In sports games, can see the fall of each year's annual sports game to change, can be sold within 10 months before the "NHL 2K12" and "NBA 2K12", and we can expect in the late 2011's "MLB 2K12" the sale .

Well, we should know within the next 2-3 months if the game is coming out or not.

I'm hoping it is. It's much better to have options than to not have them.

On the sports side of things, autumn will almost certainly see new iterations, with NHL 2K12 and NBA 2K12 before the end of October. Sneaking in right at the end of the year, we can expect MLB 2K12.
