Re: Alan Wake (360)

Demonstration during Microsoft conference got me really excited. Spring 2010 release.

Re: Alan Wake (360)

that's pretty annoying it's a spring 2010 release. they need 5.5-6 years of dev time?? this was being promoted when the 360 came out.

Re: Alan Wake (360)

So what?

Alan Wake was announced in 04, but at that time it was still a concept and work didn't begin until 05. It took Remedy 4 years to develop a linear 8 hour shooter in Max Payne. They haven't grown any since, so it's easy to see a game that's bigger in scope and more ambitious would take longer. At least we actually have a date to look forward to now.

sure, but orignially they were pimping an early '06 release if I remember correctly. I want the game now! lol

I think they were close to releasing it, but didn't and changed the core game and kind of redid the whole thing.

Re: Alan Wake (360)

I agree...BUT I'd much rather them take the time they need to make it better, than rush a messed up product out, plus we have plenty of games coming out to hold us over.
