Could I sue Best Buy for false adverisement?

Last Sunday in my Best Buy adds it said Def Jam Vendetta was going to be released Wednesday March 19th. It's not being released until like April 2nd. Is this a good case?

No. It is not.

It is common knowledge that release dates change, and that they are bwyond Best Buy's control. In fact, if you check the fine print, I'm sure you'll see "Release dates subject to change."

Why would you want to? Just to make some money?

This sounds like the case where the woman tried to sue McDonald's because the coffee was too hot.

sure you can sue - heck this is America, you can pretty much sue anyone for anything.

Go find a good lawyer, pay him some cash upfront since his likelyhood of him getting any cash from a settlement is slim.

With false adverisement, there has to be an intent to deceive - so the odds of you winning here are slim to none.

Then it was laughed out of court on appeal.

I'm just saying . .

It would be a stupid case.

I could think of more examples . . i.e. People trying to sue McD's for making them too fat, but you get the point.

Are you sure? This is what I thought happened:
The original award by the jury was for 8.4 Million U.S. Dollars. The appeals court reduced it to $480,000.
