Re: Halo: Reach

I would love to see Headlong, but I'm not sure a decent remake could be pulled off within the budget. I'm sure some will try though.

Re: Halo: Reach

Anyone here into MLG settings? Those are the people who are going to go crazy with Forge. I have no doubt that whatever they make will be glorious.

Containment was fun for BTB. Also, I didn't care too much for Gemini but I think with the new armor abilities it could be fun.

edit: come to think of it, Sanctuary could be pretty fun with the armor abilities as well. But please no Relic, Backwash, Colossus, Waterworks or Turf.
Sanctuary is in the game (called Asylum). So three of the 4v4 maps are remakes from H2!

H2 had the best maps IMO, and H3 had by far the worst. Not surprise that we haven't seen a remake from H3 lol.

Halo: Reach and Bungie.net -- A Facebook for Spartans

Quote:
Through Bungie.net, the makers of Halo have been continuously pushing the boundaries of what to expect out of a videogame community site. Stats and replays, tools for tracking success, and much more are just a click away. With the release of Halo: Reach, Bungie will be expanding its web presence once more, and we've got the first details on those upgrades.

Re: Halo: Reach

Bungie Weekly Update

Quote:
While we’re working the Show and Tell angle, Sketch figured we should deploy another look at Firefight out into the mix. Below, you’ll find a nicely rendered video of Outpost. Sketch asked that I use a very special gametype that he and Luke dreamed up together at Gamescom. They dubbed it…Sniper Timez.
  • All Load Outs contain Sniper Rifles with unlimited ammo
  • Weapon Damage is set to 200%
  • All Waves drop Heretic Elite Snipers

Quote:
So yeah, not what I’d call a display of sniping prowess, but not a bad look at the visuals and the tweaks you can make to the Firefight experience to keep it fun and fresh. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with having some fun at a few Elites expense, either.

The asterisk in the title is owed to a few minor snippets we made to truncate the length a bit. The match was set to five minutes, but the video is slightly shorter. For good reason, of course. (I suck at sniping.)

And since Sketch was feeling extra benevolent this week (or extra tired on account of his transatlantic adventures), he agreed to let me run a quick look at The Cage in motion. If you’re unfamiliar, The Cage is actually the predecessor to Lockout. Carney went back to the well, pulled out some tattered old blueprints, and whipped it up in Forge. Here’s a minute and change of a recent Assault match I played, embedded for your viewing pleasure:

Re: Halo: Reach

EDIT: Um the bnet preview is STAGGERING!

I only post IGN's pathetic video of the day because it shows once again that the hologram AA is super Awesome!

Great BWU today. Cage looks like a very good map. I'm glad they tell your team when the enemy is planting the bomb, this didn't happen in H3, didn't really give the defenders a chance.
