I was the same way, which is why I purchased the Shadow Price the first time I got to 150 marks. But I almost prefer the Doctor Nope now. Despite the low impact, the sheer quantity of rounds you're pumping into baddies makes up for it.

However, I have yet to run it in a "real" mission (Nightfall, level 28 weekly, etc.). Just doing my daily bounty runs and daily heroic at 28 with it, and it's done well, despite only having one of the damage upgrades.

I have the Atheons's epilogue and I love it, when you get the stability upgrade it really shines as there is almost no recoil so you can just melt really tough enemies.

I got it last night thanks to a bunch of guys in here from the raid. I'm working on leveling it up right now. At first it's a little rough but I've heard it gets real good

If anyone would like to carry me through the Nightfall strike that would be awesome...haha only level 25 but so close to 26.

I'm stockpiling coins for Xur next weekend and would like to get a nice piece of armor or weapon from the nightfall. Otherwise, I'll just wait until hopefully next weekend when I can try it out.
