Re: Games that must be experienced.

You can make a case for both. I've been going through God of War III for the first time and that game is just brutal.

Re: Games that must be experienced.

To piggy back off of GoW:

I finished up GoW3 this weekend (first run through on Titan no less) and completed the Challenges last night. What a great game. I felt like I was playing Mortal Kombat for the first time with how brutal Kratos is. There's a moment where he's scaling a ledge and there is a civilian clinging to the wall screaming for help. Without batting an eye Kratos bashes his head against the wall and flings him off the ledge. Not to mention the fact that you're carrying around the head of Helios and use it as a lantern for half of the game. Just ridiculous.

While I was playing I also had Ninja Gaiden in the back of my mind the whole time. I have a lot of fond memories despite several (re: many) moments of rage. Still, the game's melee system was tremendous and real joy once you mastered it and its different techniques. How many games can boast that they have an big wooden oar you can kick some major *** with?

If there are any baseball fans In here then you must trying OOTP. One of the best games period. I thought I'd never like not actually playing games and controlling players but there is so much depth to OOTP that I won't ever care about a baseball game on Xbox again.
