Re: OS Debate: Real Time Physics or Authentic True to Life Presentation?

RTP hands down.

RTP will increase the re-playabilty of a game, if I go into a season and play all 16 games and the hits/throws/catches/swats pileups or lack thereof are the same few animations all the time I (as well as a whole lot of others) will get bored and get bored quickly, RTP changes that with a wide variety of different things that can happen on every play of every game.

That being said RTP could potentially make a game very good, TTL Presentation makes a game cool to see a few times but both implemented properly could make a game great.

RTP. RTP is more important for football, however, for most other sports I'd choose presentation over RTP.

I don't care how awesome the presentation is if it feels like I'm playing an arcade game.

Gameplay first... presentation second.

Both are extremely important though.

Gameplay over presentation, especially in physical sports like hockey and football. I'm perfectly happy with PS2 Madden-like presentation.

always gameplay over presentation. But you want both with the amount of tech available but only in well thought out places and not dwelled on.

NCAA 13 demo= I was tapping X to get through the score updates immediately. They just get in the way of my game

I would say real-time technology because display only goes so far in film games. Unless developers way to do ongoing up-dates, the display will start to sound like a broken record. 2k has been the go in display yet it gets boring after so long. I would rather have real technology so I can increase a film games limitations in what I can do on any given execute. I stay for creating awesome moments.
