Re: Enthusiast Gaming Acquires Operation Sports

Congrats Steve! Probably a difficult decision for you but sounds like the right one. OS has become its own brand and I'm excited to see how Enthusiast can continue to build on the legacy that Steve & Co started so many years ago.

Can we all agree on one thing - bring back the gold logo!

Good for you man!

Does this have any correlation with the amount of spam friend requests i've been getting the last two days?

Not sure if there is or isn’t a correlation but there is a thread regarding them in Steve’s forum regarding them.

When you get a chance, can you check it and report any new ones that haven’t been reported yet?

They are tough to track down since they aren’t posting and they seem to be smart enough to not send friend requests to Mods.

Crazy. I've been on OS near-bouts a decade now and never thought it'd get sold, but if you've vetted the company, I'll trust you. Ultimately, you had to do what was best for you and yours and it sounds like you got a good deal here, so congrats Steve!

My hope is that OS continues to be the thriving community it has been -- we're a pretty diverse group here, but this is one of the few corners of the Internet that I feel is largely working towards the same goal and is a good place to come for passionate, well-thought discourse.

That is due in no small part to your decisions, Steve, so cheers and thanks to you and the team for keeping this place going.

Re: Enthusiast Gaming Acquires Operation Sports

Been here for 8 years now. I signed up when the hype for NBA 2k11 was at it's highest and I always come here for updates every year. Basketball gaming has been one of my main hobbies since I was about 8 years old playing NBA Jam 2000 on the N64. If I'd known about this place sooner I would've been here then. Congrats on your accomplishments with this site and good luck in the future.

I’m not a fan of this because it normally means the new owners could come in shut down OS or fold us in to their forum. I get why from a business side.
