Yeah, I know it's gonna be FREEZING, but it's all new for me. For you it's like "yeah, tired of that. It's been this way for years", but for me it's the first time. Highs in the upper 50's, lows in the upper 30's with more clouds than sun here in Pgh. Had a frost advisory last night and high may only top out in the upper 40's later this week. No snow yet though.

Only in the low 50s now with a chilly rain. Very unusual cold for this time of year.

I'm supposed to top out at 76 tomorrow before the rain and cold returns. It looks like we may not top 60 again for the remainder of the seven-day forecast. My average high this time of year is in the low 70s, so this is pretty unusual.

Next week there looks like a chance of a frost or freeze here. While it's not unheard of to have a frost in mid-October, it's far from typical, either. I'm not sure whether it will happen or not, but there's definitely a shot at it.

Meanwhile, places in Alaska like Fairbanks and Barrow have been baking in above average temperatures since they have a nice ridge built over them while we have a huge trough pumping Arctic air down South into North America. You can see all the snow that has resulted in North America.
