Anyone try online dating sites?

I did online dating and had a blast. Ended up finding a great girl I've been with almost 3 years. We live together and things are pretty good.

I tried last winter and again last summer.

Had very very few matches who lived near me. Went on a few dates with one girl, who was cool, but she lived two hours away.

Had another date lined up with a girl who lived near me. Then she told me she heard her voices in her head, so I backed out.

Also had plenty of girls who either never responded, or responded once then disappeared.

My basic conclusion was that online dating isn't for me. At this point, I'm not even sure dating period is for me.

Where you live also plays a big part. I'm in a younger city with people from all over, so they are more likely to dive into online dating.

I just moved from DC to Atlanta.I really don't know if girls are into that down here

My logic was I can be sitting on my butt at work or watching TV and there is still a slight chance I can get a date out of it.

I've been thinking of going the online dating route.

I just don't have time to go out and hunt for women and definitely don't want to find my future mate at a bar or club.

That and it seems like I end up picking crazies (which may be used to describe all women) who just look really hot. My friends are no help either lol

I'm getting to that age where I'm starting to field the, when are you going to get married and have kids questions. Again, I know it's my decision and I don't feel the pressure, but I think I'm at the point where I would be ready to settle down if the right person came along. Finding her is the hard part. Figure I need all the help I can get.
