I'm normally very opposed to healthy (crappy) versions of any food, but these are awesome:

As for snack cakes I love Entenmanns. These things are great, every flavor:

As for deodorant I have to pay about 9 bucks for mine. Degree Clinical Protection.

Re: Off Topic 2013

Last night I had a dream I was re-buying old SEGA and SNES games. I wish I had room for those old systems in my apartment. Maybe I can do something with my computer...

Yeah I saw that Geico commercial for the first time last night and had a good chuckle over it. LOL

Try to watch it full-screen and in HD if you can. It's just from takes that they had to re-do, but aside from the game models it's so scarily realistic. Truly amazing thinking that we've come from Pong to literally having actors do the video game.

Instead of doing mo-cap with the shiny balls like we saw in the past, they use stereo cameras that capture the performance and translate it into the models, meshes and texture maps.
I saw that in the LA Noire thread and was blown away. That was some very impressive stuff. I'm pretty sure this game was expensive as hell to produce but more games should strive for that kind authenticity with using real actors and such.

PC keeps it all alive.

Spoiler

I think I caught it all in there. I play most games on my PC with my DualShock 3 controller (free software from MotionInJoy creates the drivers for it, it's just plug-and-play and I set it up with most of the emulators. Not necessarily the ones with crazy controls though *cough*NINTENDO*cough*

If you do end up digging into stuff like that and need any help, PM me.

Same thing for android tablets. I have SNES, Genesis, PSX, GBA, and NES all working flawlessly on my Nexus 10 which I can also use my ps3 controller with if I don't feel like using it as a handheld.

Re: Off Topic 2013

I was thinking about trying to hunt down the actual systems and just using my PC monitor to be honest. Its been awhile since I've tried emulators, though. I need to hook my Wii up, but there's something about playing DKC on SNES compared to playing it on the Wii or computer.

Re: Off Topic 2013

I was the same way til I hooked up my ps3 controller to my PC recently. That's just what I had laying around the house, you can use any PC gamepad with them. I'd definitely prefer PS3 controllers though (or XBox, same # of buttons) just because it's guaranteed to have almost all the buttons/sticks you'll need.

I love old systems, and want to collect them... but the long-term reliability just isn't there for the most part these days. It's a crap shoot, so I stick with playing them on my PC.

If you did get an old system, though, to play it on your PC monitor you'd need to get a box to convert the video cables/signal, which is an extra 30-50 bucks last time I checked.

And just for fun, Genesis/PSX on my tablet.

Spoiler

The PSX Emu I use puts the FPS in the top left, that's what that 60/60 is.

Re: Off Topic 2013

I've still got my old Sega Genesis that I'll hook up to the TV every now and again. Never have really tried an emulator, though.
