Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

Tulane wins with a last second FG, 37-34.

We were getting trucked all game (temple had 32 carries for 354 yards and 4 TDs ) but our offense thankfully kept pace by limiting the turnovers to 1 (a fumble) and was able to get one stop in the second half to allow the Green Wave to setup the final drive and kick the game winning FG.

Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

Unc looked to bounce back after a terrible sim loss to Tulane (smfh) taking on Lenard Jackson and 10th ranked Louisville. First half was pretty even while finishing 17 all, Miles Dorn had 2 huge ints to give Unc a chance. Unc drove the ball to the Louisville 43 before a holding call negated all mo and the drive. Louisville scores on a Scott 68 yard run which never should have happened. Miles Dorn had a clear pick 6 in the flat with no one around and it was simply dropped (thanks ea). Trubisky on the next drive throws a pick and Louisville scores right away to take a 31-17 lead. Trubisky would answer by completing 6 in a row and find Proehl from 20 yards out to end the 3rd. The 4th saw some crappy Unc defense especially against the run but we managed to hold Louisville to a fg and the lead was 34-24. Jordan Brown while struggling most of the game came alive very Hood-esk. Scoring two tds with the game winner coming with 16 seconds left. Lawrence finally decided to play d and picked off Jackson on the first pass. Unc holds on despite trailing by 2 scores the majority of the game 38-34!

Unc 468 yards
Trubisky 23/28-317 2tds int
Brown 22-138 3tds
Fritts 8-138
Dorn 5 tackles 2ints

UL 396 yards
Jackson 12/20-158 3tds 3ints
Scott 16-202 td
Bonnafon 3-54 td
Washington 7 tackles

Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

Week 6

***** GAME OF THE WEEK *****
5 Texas Tech 3-0 @ 18 North Carolina 2-2

2 teams that won their conferences last season will go head to head this week in Chapel Hill. Tech has been hot and looks to be a legit title contender this year being their star QB Patrick Mahomes. The Red Raiders have not only been great on offense looking like vintage Tech with the Air raid but they have been outstanding on defense as well. In their first 3 games they've given up 15, 16, and 17 points. UNC will give them their toughest test to this point but with Elijah Hood out UNC just isnt the same team. Defensively they've been average although their schedule to this point has been tough. Tech just looks to have everything going right now and they are one of the hottest teams around so even with this being on the road I think Tech gets a comfortable win. UNC coaching will have their biggest challenge of this tough stretch this week because no one has been able to slow down the Red Raiders.

((((( U5 GAMES )))))
*** BC @ MIA
*** UCF @ Tulane
*** SMU @ Temple
** CMU @ EMU
* WVU @ Kansas
