Smh...so how does this playbook thing work?
Is it that we get try one out and switch it that season or just go back to the school's default?

Rivals 2021-2022 Discussion

FIU @ #7 Miami

Slow start for both teams offensively. We made them work to get in a rhythm, they forced us into a few turnovers. We didnt get on the board until it was 3:55 left in the 2nd quarter where our CB Weaver making his 1st start turned a WR screen into a pick 6. We thought that would spark us but it didnt. Last drive of the half with 0:27 from the 18 I go ahead and take chance and we get 3 straight 20+ yard catches and finish with a td. 14-0 at the half.

Second half first drive I call a reverse, a play I like to mix in every now and then, but they load it to that side so I check down to a regular run and ofcourse they all shift to opposite side, but the blocking is good and Ryan makes a perfect cut up the field for 75. That plays does spark us. We score later in the quarter and backdoor that with another pick 6 on a HB screen. We close the game out with the backups who give up a td late but we beat FIY 45-10.

This game didnt really tell us much about ourselves obviously but it was good to finally get back on the field and see what we could do. It was also good to see some individuals step up. Another bye next week then its on the road to take on the top team in the nation in Nebraska.
