WEEK 3

BCS Polls

⚪️ 1 MIAMI 1-0
⚪️ 2 LSU 3-0
⚪️ 3 UCLA 2-0
🟢 4(5) GEORGIA 2-0 @ TAMU
🟢 5(6) NEBRASKA 2-0
🟢 6(7) OHIO STATE 2-0
🟢 7(8) TEXAS 2-0
🟢 8(9) DUKE 2-0
🟢 9(14) NOTRE DAME 2-0
🟢 10(12) ARMY 2-0 15 SDST

**** GOTW ****
9 DUKE 2-0 vs CLEMSON 2-0

Saturday night's showcase game will feature an ACC matchup between the 8th ranked Blue Devils and the Tigers. Both teams are 2-0 but have yet to be tested so this should be a good game. Duke is trying to pick up where they left off with their strong rushing attack and tough defense. Their roster isnt as strong as it has been but they do have 2 good backs in Anderson and Montgomery, and their defense is currently ranked #7 statistically so they are making the most of what they do have so far. Clemson on the other hand has more talent but has yet to really find their footing and their identity. Clemson's schedule is extremely favorable this year with one ranked game all year being this one, so if they can win this one they could hypothetically push for a Championship run just off record alone as they discovered their identity throughout the season. Duke has a much tougher schedule and the #1 team in their division so the road is tougher but games like this are preparation. I think Duke is the better "team" but their oline concerns me alot in this matchup. I think thats the key to the game so against better judgement Im calling the upset.

Pre: CLEM 30 DUKE 24

🟢 Pre: MICH 28 ND 27 -> ND 38 MICH 31
🟢 Pre: MIA 35 MSST 27 -> MIA 42 MSST 6
🟢 Pre: LSU 38 SCAR 28 -> LSU 55 SCAR 45

BIG GAMES

🟢 TEXAS A&M (0-2) vs 4 GEORGIA (3-0)
- Georgia is playing amazing right now and Graham at QB is off to a Heisman type start. A&M has 2 close losses to good teams, upset potential here.

🟢 14 FLORIDA (1-0) vs TENNESSEE (3-0)
- Rivalry game between 2 teams that havent has fast starts in recent years. Florida is hoping their star RB can carry them to another big win at home.

🟢 10 ARMY (2-0) vs 15 SD STATE (1-0)
- Good measuring game for both of the teams who seem overrated to some. SD State went from a heavy run team to heavy pass, contrasting styles.

🟢 PENN STATE (1-1) vs 20 MISSISSIPPI ST (2-1)
- Both teams showed flashes last year of making that next step but have already had set backs this year. Love to see how they look in this close matchup.

Re: RIVALS LAST RUN 2033-2034

FLORIDA ST vs 1 MIAMI

1st half
Smith got the start at QB. Defensive game in the first half. We punted, FSU scored on their first drive, QB made all the right decisions. We got a long drive and answered on the last play of the qtr, 7-7. They got in fg range but it was a few feet short, we respond with a drive and take 3. They get in scoring range again but Mangum hits Hayward on a scramble and forced a fumble. We have 1:28 to score but throw an int. They score 4 plays later on a crossing route to their TE. 14-10 FSU at the half.

2nd half
The stall the first drive and punt, we respond with a pick 3 plays later. They have to punt again, Smith throws a pick again. They punt a 3rd straight time and we put a 5 play drive together after converting a 3rd and 14 and finding Justice open on a CB blitz. 17-14 UM. 4th straight punt, 2nd straight td after Smith hits Tidwell for 32 yds over the top. McKinney finishes the drive with his first career td. 24-14. They have their best drive and cut it to 3 with 3:36 left but Miami never gives it back. 24-21.

Re: RIVALS LAST RUN 2033-2034

We jumped out to a big lead. Then in the 4th quarter TCU went on a run, I think they scored 21 points in the 4th and their defense held our offense to 2 fg's. They cut our lead to only 6 points really late in the 4th but they failed to recover the onside kick. I don't know what's up with the defense, they played like as* in 3 out of 4 games. LSU beats TCU 41-35.

Re: RIVALS LAST RUN 2033-2034

Robbed... one int we stopped while I was throwing it, 2 corner on short yellow runs all the way to safety blue and makes diving int on a tip, ( an now is cold and can’t throw the ones that are on target wr drops for first downs.....
running back truck does bounce of with a smidge of airtime just for them to big hit for the fumble in the redzone. When momentum starts from those first 3 there rn QBs WRs break every initial tackle . Some of course do more. 2 ints late from trying to force big plays

🟢 9(10) ARMY 3-0
🟢 10 (11) IOWA 2-1

**** GOTW ****
8 NOTRE DAME 3-0 vs 1 MIAMI 2-0

One of the most historic rivalries in college football history will add another chapter this weekend as the 8th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will host the top ranked Miami Hurricanes. Its hard to mention this rivalry without mentioning the Catholics vs Convicts title that Notre Dame created in 88 so lets get that out of the way now and look at this matchup. Miami is the favorite because they are still the champs until someone takes their crown but they have not looked like the team we saw last year. In 2 games they have had one truly dominant half and their opponents were Mississippi State and Florida State, 2 teams who could potentially have good seasons but neither team should have hung with Miami. It will be Miami's 3rd game while many teams are playing their 5th so it could be a process of gelling their new starters still but in college football you dont have time for that. Miami seems to have their QB for the year but I think Brown will be the player to watch this week because the Canes desperately want to get back to being a run first team but they just havent had the same success this year. Notre Dame's Parker will be the key for Notre Dame as he is their do it all QB. He leads the team in both passing and running so if he can protect the ball and make smart decisions he can do what FSU did last week against Miami but with more talent around him. I think the Canes ultimately win because of that defense but with Notre Dame being at home this should go down to the wire.

Pre: MIA 31 ND 29

Pre: CLEM 30 DUKE 24 -> DUKE
🟢 Pre: MICH 28 ND 27 -> ND 38 MICH 31
🟢 Pre: MIA 35 MSST 27 -> MIA 42 MSST 6
🟢 Pre: LSU 38 SCAR 28 -> LSU 55 SCAR 45

BIG GAMES

🟢 MISSISSIPPI ST (2-2) vs 2 LSU (4-0)
- The Bulldogs took a bad loss to Miami but if you watched they continue to play their best ball when they have no chance. They get LSU at home

🟢 MICHIGAN ST (1-1) vs 9 ARMY (3-0)
- The Spartans currently have a top 10 pass attack while Army continues to wreck havoc with their triple option attack. Could be closer than people think.

🟢 5 OHIO ST (3-0) vs WISCONSIN (2-0)
- Its early but Ohio States high powered offense has lived up to the hype so far. They are giving off 2019 LSU vibes early. First conference game of the year.

🟢 MINNESOTA (0-2) vs 4 NEBRASKA (3-0)
- Nebraska had questions coming into the year but theyve picked up where they left off. Minnesota is doing the opposite but still has some playmakers.
