Re: Arena Football preview @ IGN

For me, it just looks like Madden on an Arena field. I'm sure it plays different, but I would have hoped that the two games differentiated on graphics.

They did not.

I'm all for an Areana football game. It sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe something Blitz should implement, but what scares me away from this game is the fact the EA is making it. Same graphics, same basic gameplay....you know what Giggas said.

I echo this sentiment. I question if there will be enough to differentiate it from Madden to make it a worthwhile purchase.

The article states that all the teams share the same playbook. Kinda disappointing, and though I'm in all honesty not too familiar if all Arena league offenses are that similar, it doesn't seem right.

The telemetry system sounds interesting though.

It actually sounds interesting. I dont trust EA for sim football games so this can be a fun little title to play for multiplayer. The telemetry thing sounds pretty cool. As long as they dont drop the ball with minimal animations and scripted gameplay, this may be alright.

This game seems to be at least worth renting just to see how good it plays out. And the interesting thing about it is that telemetry idea. Also a good thing if it is a hit then EA said they'll switch off years with it with NFL Street so they'll have even extra amount off time to work on it and make it better.

Wow, two people agree with me!

I'm shocked, plus a Wahoo too! WTF?

Ah well, Krioniq is a good Wahoo (best of the worst, I guess).

The disappointing part of that is it means at least 2 years until there's a 360 version.
