As "Maddenoliday" comes around I started thinking about how my excitement dwindles by the year. Sure I will play it and have some fun, but I am more excited about my upcoming Fantasy Football draft. Fantasy Football has replaced Madden as my favorite game to play come football season. Fantasy Football makes every game exciting since players have a stake in something more then just their favorite team. It is also fun to run back and forth like a maniac checking my scores. I was curious what other people thought.

Haven't bought Madden since '04, so FF by a mile for me.

Plus there's lots of $ to be won in FF!

I am going to my draft party in a few minutes and it is more exciting then Maddenoliday.

It's apples and oranges though, video games and computer based (or real life draft based) strategy, completely different animals.

Fantasy football compliments the real games, but Madden is enjoyable when the real games aren't on.

Normally I would say Madden, but this year I find the game unplayable w/o fatigue, and to date have completed a whopping two whole games and miscellaneous simming.

My vote went for Fantasy Football, I'm in two leagues this year, and while I don't like the whole "rooting for individuals and not a fave team" dynamic (Broncos and Niners, woot woot) I still like looking for diamonds in the rough and surprisingly finishing near the top in every league I've been in.

Fantasy Football! Don't get me wrong I like playin madden too. But Madden's been mediocre for years now eversince they bought the NFL license.
