Referees.

I remember playing it(Gameday 2004 for PS2) at a friends house(I owned madden) and I loved how you can run into the refs during the game. I don't know why I liked it so much, just thought it was cool lol.

Re: NFL Gameday Appreciation Thread

I remember analizing the NFL Gameday ad in my gamepro when all i had was a genesis. The ad was the 49ers vs chargers and i drew on the ad which route i thought the guy was running and who i'd throw too....god i was obsessed. I finally got a ps1 and played that game non-stop. Every year me and my dad would buy NFL Gameday and Madden. I think it was 99 that we started leaning heavily towards madden and stopped buying gameday. I know 98 was my favorite and i had to buy another copy of that game because i played it so much that the disc went bad. Something was off with Gameday 1999, and i have never played another gameday after that year. But from the first game(that had william floyd on the front) to 98, it was a good series for me and i have nothing but good memories from it.

The first PS1 game i played was 98. I remember the graphics were amazing in that game. 99 was my favorite. It changed so much from 98-99.

Gameday 98 is what made EA step up their game with Madden, and it really wasn't until Madden 2001 that EA passed SCEA and then dominated them on the PS2.
