Grey Cup Hoopla Begins!
Nov 14, 2003
There's no shortage of entertainment in Regina these days.
The city is alive with Grey Cup, fever as it prepares to host the C.F.L. championship on Sunday.
There is a giant beer tent set up in the heart of downtown, with a long lineup snaking down the block.
Hospitality suites are sprinkled throughout downtown, so fans can stop in and support their favourite team.
There are also cabarets every night, featuring bands like Great Big Sea, Trooper and Streetheart.
Hotels have been booked solid for months.
People are staying with friends, relatives and even complete strangers.
The annual Grey Cup parade, complete with 143 entries and four-thousand participants, is being held tomorrow morning.
Bryan Adams and Sam Roberts are slated to perform during half-time.
The Grey Cup is expected to pump more than 30 million dollars into the Regina economy. (ccg)
