So you could donate $20 now for the game and that money won't actually leave your pocket unless the game gets fully funded.

If I were wealthy, I'd invest the entire million just to see someone attemp to challenge EA's unmotivated @$$'s. Since I'm not, I'll donate what I can. Long overdue on a second option for a college football simulator.

Lol at the shots he's taking at EA's NCAA Football! I want to pledge but their is no way they will reach $1million by June 8th. So if they don't reach their goal by June 8th, what happens then?

Eh, sports gamers are pretty fickle, but lack of community support isn't what doomed many if any of those incomplete titles (while the released ones did poorly for other reasons for the most part)... and now this one pops up and says "$1m in 3 weeks, go!" and another one gets added to your list and the community blamed. Doesn't really add up.

Personally, if there weren't so many red flags and a better video I'd probably back them.

• New website with no forums, all content is timeless (no dates) so comes across pretty shady. Domain was available for sale as recently as January.
• Video reminds me of the XFL. Vince McMahon tried to hard to jab the NFL wherever he could, it's really not necessary to make a bunch of digs about the (successful) competition. Just make something better, comes across as trying too hard to win the angsty anti-EA crowd.
• President of this company since 2007 and this is their pitch, this kinda comes across as a hobby with a neat tool is all.
• A PSN/360 release for 2014. Multiplatform indie development for consoles at least a year into/closer their relative obsolescence.

Once this fails and more substance is produced and presented again I'll almost certainly be a backer. Stuff at this level IMO should be targeting PC and have crazy stretch goals to include the PSN/360 stuff, but that's personal preference.

Also - hooray for another start-up with no past releases, no gameplay footage, claiming to have a real-life league license when they very likely do not have such, and obviously brand-new to Kickstarter as evidenced by the fact that they have backed nothing attempting to fund yet another football game with an incredibly high ask and absolutely no evidence that they can deliver on their gaudy feature set. Just like every other such Kickstarter meeting such criteria, this one was doomed to fail before they posted the page.

Kickstarter isn't a charity. You have to have strong evidence that you can actually deliver on whatever you post, not just consumer interest.
