Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

Hey guys I have a question. If I buy Fhm and play it on pc and then in the near future want to play it on a Mac can I do so without having to buy it again. Have a laptop that while having good specs just isn't reliable and I'm looking to get an iMac for the family. Thank in advance

Yes. Your license should be good for both Mac and PC. OOTP is anyway

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

Thanx for the quick response perceptor. I was hoping this was the case because I'd like to get the game sooner rather than later. I'm hoping/waiting to hear that the fri/sat patch clears up a lot of version 1 problems. The devs seem really committed and eager to listen to the publics cares and concerns. I would also like to say that u may b right about mesut ozil being the signing of the season. I'm half German so I follow their national team and he is our class, gunna fit in nicely with the gunners fluid passing system. I don't wish too much success though being a huge liverpool supporter. Though I will root for u guys anyway over manu, city or Chelsea. Thanks again bro

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

I know It wouldn't be fair to really compare to EHM right now but is this game ready to replace it? Money is tight at the moment otherwise I would fork out the money just to support...

Around this time last year I bought EHM but never really got into it because of a busy schedule and favored other text sims at that time. Just wondering if this game does things better.

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

From what I hear it's still buggy and missing a lot of features compared to OOTP or EHM. Lot's of complaining but a few people are happy with it. It's pretty good for a first version and will get better over time

If I was you i'd suggest waiting

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

I've played the game and while there's potential, I can't help but be a little disappointed. I wasn't expecting OOTP like polish, but to be fair, this game wasn't to me close to being ready from beta. There are bugs still present from the beta and while I know they're being addressed, this should have alerted the devs to perhaps wait a little longer.

There are a few annoying issues like the jersey numbers being predetermined by preferred numbers, creating completely inaccurate jersey numbers for NHL players. To me, that's not acceptable. If you're going to use NHL rosters, get the darn numbers right. Being not able to edit them is also an oversight. Game killer? No, but annoying to say the least

Re: Franchise Hockey Manager

How is the game now?

Is it worth a buy or wait for next year?

It is playable thats for sure. I'm a early backer and I backed the game solely to finance it and basically make it happen. The money OOTP will make from this game will lead to further developing and a better game in the future. In how many revisions I don't know.

But its nothing close to Football Manager in terms of a complete product. Its not even comparable. The UI is a mess and entirety of the game feels really messy.

They need someone to tidy up the UI and make the menus more logical and userfriendly. Play-wise its still buggy and OOTP are rolling out patches to fix various issues with simming, stats, trading etc. More I can't tell you. I haven't played it for awhile now. Its playable. Dunno if that will please you though.
