Nice debut, too bad Klopas is being a bonehead about PT.

Thanks Orion! I feel it is a bit more realistic having to earn my way into the lineup. I almost feel he has a grudge against me...maybe upper management drafted me and I wasn't in his plans (hence the Bernardello signing)?? I don't know, but it feels so realistic for a younger player trying to make it professionally. Even though I'm not seeing the field, I'm actually having a lot of fun with this.

Matchday 9

vs.

May 4, 2013

Santa Clara, California - In the youngster's second start of his career, manager Frank Klopas threw Ricky into the midfield to sit in front of Hernan Bernardello and facilitate the attack. It all came together in the 42nd minute when Justin Mapp gained the endline and pulled the ball back to the patiently waiting Ricky Jones. Ricky then gathered the ball, spun, and found a charging Hernan Bernardello who wasted no time at the top of the box as he quickly took possession and placed the ball passed David Bingham in goal for San Jose. The assist was the first of Ricky's career. The rest of the game saw a midfield battle until the 90th minute when a defensive mistake by Clarence Goodson sent Ricky in one on one with the Bingham. Unfortunately for Ricky and the Impact, the shot was saved by Bingham and cleared out by Steven Beitashour.

Re: The Journey of American Ricky Jones (FIFA 14)

Matchday 11

vs.

May 11, 2013

Montreal, Canada - It was Montreal Impact striker Andrew Wenger's coming out performance tonight as the Impact held on for a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. He started early on in the 10th minute as Paponi lobbed a perfect ball over the top to Justin Mapp who laid the ball across the face of the goal for a one time Wenger finish to give the Impact a 1-0 lead. In the 45th minute it was again Justin Mapp who took on two defenders and sprayed the ball to the back post where both Ricky and Wenger awaited the cross. It was Wenger who was able to get a head to it and put it past the helpless Nick Rimando in goal for Real Salt Lake. RSL would get one back in the 78th minute to make the game interesting with Alvaro Saborio from Gil. Gil played one across the top of the box for Saborio, who had checked back to lose his mark Camara, to bang in off the far post. Montreal would hold on with Jones getting a chance from range that was saved easily by Rimando as the last good look at goal.
