Real Betis Pull Off Stunning Upset Of Valencia

Valencia - With an absolute stunner of a goal in the 82nd minute, on loan striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel propelled visiting Real Betis to an improbable 2-1 triumph over previously unbeaten Valencia in an emotionally charged encounter which produced a pair of sending offs, and six yellow cards on a rainy night here at the Mestalla.
In his post match press conference, Betis manager Pepe Mel was effusive in his praise for his club, saying: "It could have been very easy for us to roll over and accept our fate, instead however we stood up and fought like men against a very talented club on their ground and walked away victors. I am a proud manager today."
