Re: London Is RED | An Arsenal CM (FIFA 17)

Ugh. A terribly long delay.

With slider testing complete, and CTT (for the PL) being finished today--I'm going with a final re-boot of the career. Frustrating to keep restarting for sure--but this is it.

Re: London Is RED | An Arsenal CM (FIFA 17)

Super Sub | Super Sánchez

Previously Injured Alexis Sánchez Came On To Score The Winner

EMIRATES STADIUM -- A late Sunday afternoon Opening Weekend fixture from The Emirates, between giants Arsenal and Liverpool did not disappoint. Daniel Sturridge opened the scoring just 5 minutes into the contest as he ripped through the Arsenal defense. A resilient Theo Walcott earned the Gunners a free kick from just outside the box a mere 3 minutes later, in which Mesut Özil would curl into the top right corner to put the score at 1-1 just 8 minutes into the season.

Liverpool's summer signing of Sadio Mané proved profitable early in his Reds career, as he beat Petr Čech as well to give the lead back at 2-1 in the 34'. However, again, a resiliant Arsenal--which is something that has been lacking in years past under former boss Arsene Wenger, would find an equalizer from a Theo Walcott pass into an overlaping Héctor Bellerín, notting the game at 2-2 just before the break.

Arsenal brought on Alexis Sánchez at the hour mark--and it would take him just 17' before a Bellerín cross found the pacey winger turned striker, as he smashed it home past Karius--giving the Gunners a 3-2 lead, that they would not relenquish. Sánchez, who had been cleared by team physios to play was not selected by Hedges in the starting XI for precautionary mesasures, but did advise prematch that the Chilean superstar may see the pitch if need be.

Arsenal head to Leicester next Saturday for the Foxes' home opener at the King Power Stadium.

Re: London Is RED | An Arsenal CM (FIFA 17)

Alexis 3 - PSG 2

LONDON – The two giants of Group A in Arsenal and PSG would face off in North London on Matchday 3 of the Champions League Group Stage. The scoring would begin in the 22’ with a goal from Alexis Sánchez. It would take him just 4 more minutes before he found the back of the net again, putting the Gunners up 2-0, just 26 minutes into the match.

PSG increased their attacking intensity at the close of the first half, with Edinson Cavani firing a rocket past Petr Cech, to bring the Parisians back to just one goal down, 2-1 at the break. Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin was in superb form in the first half, completing 12 tackles—as he was all over the pitch making tackles and intercepting passes.

The 2nd half was tightly contested, with both teams barely missing goals at both ends, but Sánchez finally broke through in the 77th minute with a brilliant header from Gabriel, which appeared to put the game on ice—with the hosts up 3-1. However, a mere 2 minutes later, Italy International Marco Veratti sliced through the Arsenal defense to bring it back to 3-2. The closing moments were shaky at The Emirates, but The Gunners were able to hold on to earn the highly valuable 3 points.
