Not sure why would a 30 year catcher, who can hit both lefties and righties, who is good in he is own right (good enough for a full time job) would sign with Cleveland to be a platoon partner to a 22 year old catcher. Unless you mean Josh Naylor? So then that would mean another 30 year old (Bell) capable of hitting both lefties and righties would sign to be platoon player? Wut.

Yea I think he’s talking Josh Naylor.

Contreras definitely wouldnt platoon, but he wont be in Cleveland so doesnt really matter.

Bell's strong side is as a lefty, signing him as a platoon partner would be highly sub-optimal when you account for what it would cost. Check your sources Husky :P

They could have acquired Contreras at the deadline.

I doubt they get outbid if they really wanna add them.

C Kevin Parada
Lol that's just not even in the realm of close

The same Cleveland who's paid big contracts to final pieces before.

If they feel like he's the best upgrade, they won't. Come on, its cleveland are talking about here.

They've historically shelled out money for big missing pieces before. They gave Encarncion 20 Mil a year back when 20 mil a year was alot for a DH. They gave Swisher 4 mil a year less than Ichiro was getting and maybe him one of the highest paid LF in baseball.
