I like this argument. It's essentially, "The Yankees don't have an advantage! The proof is how badly we screwed up last year!"

To use the fantasy football analogy again, if I have twice as much money to use in an auction and don't go on to make the playoffs, that doesn't mean I didn't have a significant advantage. It means I screwed up that significant advantage.

I don't feel like arguing anymore in this thread. People have their own opinions, and we can't change them. I just have to sit back and laugh at this thread now. It was about the Phillie and Yankees, then it translated over to The Yankees being money whores, and then it took a dramtic shift to talking about basketball in NYC. LMAO I love OS the added caveat definitely being Freelance (The Mlb *****) coming in and telling us all how the MLB sucks now, A+ for consistency.
