Re: 2016-2017 MLB Hot Stove Thread

Fully expect the Dodgers to trade for a top end starter like Chris Sale and still try to get Zack Greinke back or even Chris Archer.

I expect the Puig/Ryan Braun deal to be revisited.

Add some bullpen pieces.

Maybe get a 2B or let Micah Johnson prove himself in spring training.

Need to sure up our corner outfield spots.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

A's need a CF too. And a right fielder, and a 2B, and.... I could go on.

Depending on what the market thinks about Carlos Gomez's numbers once he was in Texas, there's a sign with intent to trade at the deadline for them there.

I stopped trying to predict what this team does a long time ago though.

Re: 2016-2017 MLB Hot Stove Thread

Anyone care to post a semi-comprehensive list of FAs available this winter? Maybe add it to the OP? I realize I could go to MLBTR for myself and look, but what's the fun in that?

If they were smart it would be. Their management doesn't have the guts to do it ground-up though. Their bottom line would suffer too much and push some of their softer fans to ye olde North Syde bandwagon.

Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins confirms that the Jays will indeed put in a Qualifying Offer to both Edwin and Bautista.

Shouldn't be a whole lot...I expect we see 2 veteran starting pitchers and a catcher signed. That will be about it, unless Coppy pulls off a trade. If that happens, I'd expect it to involve Kemp/Markakis, unless he wants to sell high on Ender (which would be the wrong move, IMO) and trust CF to Mallex next year.
