Re: 2016-2017 MLB Hot Stove Thread

I have a strong feeling the Braun/Puig trade will get done at the Winter Meetings.

Really hoping the new management in Phoenix (thank you Boston) does something to address the bullpen... I really think 2016 season was a fluke for the D'Backs... I see them bouncing back in a big way in 2017.

It appears the Cardinals are going into the offseason with Center Field being a top priority.

Re: 2016-2017 MLB Hot Stove Thread

Couple Jays related items as it pertains to the rest of MLB:

1) Both these items come from Boston based writer Nick Cafardo so here goes. Apparently Jose Bautista will decline the Blue Jays qualifying offer as he wants a multi-year deal. Apparently Bautista is eyeing Boston as a potential destination due to his success at Fenway and his past relationship with John Farrell and Brian Butterfield. Honestly, if he does end up there and underperforms like he has this year or make stupid *** comments then hoo boy...It won't be a marriage made in Heaven.

2) John Gibbons may be looking for a new bench coach as DeMarlo Hale is the early frontrunner for the D'Backs vacant managerial job.

Marlins want pitching. They are willing to listen on Ozuna, Dietrich, Hechavarria, and Gordon to acquire a pitcher.

The Angels would probably be perfect to acquire Gordon or Ozuna but they don't have the juice to get either.

I don't think Kemp or Markakis is going anywhere. Kemp showed us something and we can't afford to lose that. It's J-Up for a cheap 3 years. Especially if gets more fit to his liking in the off season. Markakis is an excellent silent leader and Woodstock native. We need to have people in the seats for attendance versus non popular teams.

Unfortunately for us Braves they'll dangle Ender out there. When you see his final stats. You are blown away! But the reality is his lack of production for April-June was one of the contributor to our worst start ever as a franchise. But lucky for us he finished off wonderfully. St.Louis needs a center fielder. I don't want him to be traded.
