Yankees shut out for first time in 221 games...crazy streak.

It was still one of their worst performances of the season somehow. but at least they kept pace with everyone.

Re: 9/2 - 9/15 Game Discussion Thread

I didn't watch the Cubs game today--infernal new school year always messes with my obsessive consumption of sports-related media this time of year--but, I was encouraged to see in the box score: (1) good start for Kyle; (2) new bullpen guys getting the job done; (3) Cubs putting together an inning instead of lazily waiting to launch a 3-run homer. That said, this offense is going to need to put up more than ONE INNING of production in games going forward. Else, they will miss the playoffs handily.

Jays vs Rays on Thursday is on YouTube. I wonder how many would even watch.

Re: 9/2 - 9/15 Game Discussion Thread

Looks like the Dodgers offense has awaken from the slump they were in. 4 HR's yesterday. 7 more tonight. Bellinger hit number 44 and Gavin Lux looks really good in his debut.

Acuna is frigid. Hopefully he wakes the **** up before the Nationals series this weekend.

Re: 9/2 - 9/15 Game Discussion Thread

For the 5th time this season (and once again involving either the Dodgers or Yankees), both teams exchanged lead-off home runs last night.
