Damn Darvish and Contreras dominated the Cardinals

BTW my 5 year old son says the Cubs cheated because Darvish was being mean and wouldn’t let us hit lol

I'm just upset that while Culberson could do damage on the mound, because of the DH rule he never got to come up and hit, heh. At least he doesn't try and hit home runs. Nothing was more unnerving than watching those two straight pitches to Riley and Duvall be pop outs with the tying run on second base.

Darvish is the CY Young Favorite. He's been amazing, I love the dude. the overpaid comments have sure gone quiet.

I'm not quite sure how good the cubs are because the offense probably will go quiet in a week or 2 but Yu is must watch right now.

It is pretty remarkable how poorly he aged.

Re: 8/31 - 9/13 Game Discussion Thread

Cards get their revenge today, forcing Alzolay out in the 3rd. Could have been much worse as they only get two runs (granted the Cubs loaded the bases with no one out and didn't score the previous inning).

Going to be a long day for the Cubs pen since game two was supposed to be a full (well, 7 inning) bullpen game already. Any strategic advantage with getting Flaherty out of the game early yesterday has been lost.

Acuna is on fire...another lead off home run. At some point he has to move down in the order...he's hitting a lot of solo shots these days.
