Be thankful they didnt make this a change for regular games.

Bad enough in the NHL they have shootouts, but I've been joking for years that MLB adding a HR derby in extras would be the comparable.

A lot of guys might try to avoid participating because of the home run derby curse now having another one in the Allstar game to decide the winner...that's not gonna end well.

Bring back the tie game in the NHL no OT don't know why they always have to screw with things.

They want to have a decisive winner which is why they do that.

But I don't know why they don't just have 10 minutes of 3 on 3 OT.

5 minutes already of it has been great and greatly reduced the number of games going to shootouts, but 10 for sure if no game ends after that, they deserve to be tied.

But knowing NHL coaches, they'll play so defensively that they would rather tie that lose.

everyone knows the best & most dramatic way to decide WS homefield advantage is to put all 30 teams managers in a Royal Rumble at the Wrestling Mania and the the last manager standing has a steel cage match before the homerun derby... a steel cage match against a bear at that! if the manager beats the bear, his teams league gets the homefield advantage. if he loses, the other league gets the advantage.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
if the bear kills the manager to death, the advantage reverts back to the dead managers league

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE AGAIN!
if it turns out the the bear used PEd's, the WS homefield advantage goes to the team with the best record in the regular season
which is how they should settle it in the beginning anyways IMO

Have they announced what is happening with the arbitration eligible players, don’t they need to either agree to a contract or go to arbitration before they report to camp? I would imagine they need to do something about the rule 5 draft too
