NBA Rising Stars Watch 2022-23

Figured I'd make this thread this year to focus on first and second year players and not just rookies. Which rookies are y'all looking forward to watching and which guys are going to make a second-year leap?

Watching Knicks/Pacers and Mathurin looks really small. Guy doesn't look any bigger than Quickley out there.

Mathurin's gonna be good. Super aggressive, plays with a lot of emotion and confidence. Gets to the basket and gets to the line.

A few guys, outside of the big names. Keegan Murray, Josh Giddey, Franz Wagner, Tari Eason. Murray seems like a guy that could develop into a solid 18-20 point scorer. Giddey just needs to develop a consistent mid range shot. Magic is going to be in the "mix and match to see what they have with all the young talent" phase, but think Wagner should be good again. I think Eason should develop well

Keegan is my early pick for ROTY.

I expect Jalen Green to take a huge leap.

Keegan just seems to have a smooth game and I think he can average close to 14-17 ppg in his rookie year.

Even for some of the "bad" teams, should see some intriguing fun lineups. Magic and Rockets have a lot of young talent with upside. Now its just mixing and matching and see who fits together and developing them
